of The Suicide Squad Barrel.

Seriously, these guys are made of obscure, and they pretty much all die eventually. But I guess that's the point of squad; to get rid of the C and D listers.

Anyways

Another early start! This time a friend and fellow enthusiast in tow.

Good strong side lighting adds to the drama I think.

Mi ero completamente dimenticato di finire questa serie, sono un idiota.

Beh, eccola per intero. Potete vedere tutte e 14 le foto sul mio sito ufficiale o su Facebook.

P.s. breve riassunto: fabbrica abbandonata, poco tempo a disposizione, arrivano gli zingari e ci minacciano. Tutto sommato è andata fin troppo bene. xD

I totally forgot about this series, me = idiot. Well, now it's finished: you can see all 14 pictures on my official site or on my Facebook.

P.s. quick recap: abandoned factory, no time enough, then gypsies (!) arrive threatening us. All in all, the result is even too well xD

Inktober day 18 - Scrape

sometimes - if a building is not high enough - the sky comes down for scratching.

This fall will be the first time I've used this camera/lens combo. I'm pretty satisfied with it. The light was low and I just shot the camera on auto. I can't believe it shot a shutter speed this fast. Distance to my hide is 52 meters. I love the early morning light on this edge: the thick oaks make a dark background.

Two Curlews wandering around the scrape in the meadow & having a scratch then something puts all the birds up. still only limited numbers of these about yet. My last post for sometime.

Haha the back bumper...

I have been heading uphill for a while but paused again and snapped another for my Meeker series, this time in a entirely natural setting, no camp. These clouds can't seem to get enough altitude, not even after Colorado passed their pot law. The entire scene looks like it was squashed by the clouds that can't get it up. By cracky, the clouding continues to play about. How far had I trekked and how long had it taken? No eDDie here; I see a meadowish area over on the left. No eDDie over there. It looks like it opens up but where am I now? Obviously, I am further up the Meeker's slope and ski trail than I planned. Please note that the main road will be all downhill for those with a propensity to get lost. Go downhill!

How far am I going to continuing to trek up Meeker? Will I end up on its rocky face and find the St. Malo chapel meteorite? Is it heavier than others so I could find it simply by hefting it? Maybe I should use a magnetometer or metal detector to search for greater iron content. Then I could set it on the alter @ St. Catherine so the brethern could worship the rock... and would it even matter if I found the right rock? I'll find one that has pica blood on it, proof positive that it came crashing down from the heavens. That's proof enough for believers. Ah well... these clouds warrant another snap.

Earlier we turned south from Camp St.Malo to the Meeker Park Overflow Campground along Colorado's Peak to Peak Highway #7 and #72. eDDie was chasing wildflowers in a meadow above the last camp west. It took me a while to get my gear and take some snaps from the campground after he got out of my shots toward the broad face of Meeker. There was no sign of the fluffy clouds rolling around the peak in my last shot but I still lost eDDie in his ozone so I headed up the trail, toward some meadow he mentioned. I took some shots of a snag on the way up then found this venue. If there is a meadow, it appears off to the left of this shot. I suppose that I have to go over into the meadow, left, to investigate and search for the Edster.

I broke into a sort of opening and found the clouds already changed again. Today, it's hard to chase the clouds. Now, it's masking Meeker's face.

Twisting Turning Torso with unreal clouds, Malmö, Sweden.

The storm fell on our heads that Summer afternoon and we got completely wet, but later the rain stopped and the clouds remained, giving us this indescribable sky as a background for the Swedish skyscraper... Isn't it scraping the sky?

Sometimes, at the bottom of the barrel, one may scrape up a gem. Or, is it more like dusting off a box deep in a warehouse and finding a long-lost document of historical significance?

Whatever the case, it is always a pleasure to find something nice from an archive once perceived as containing nothing more than repetitious stuff or outright blunders :).

I hope everyone is doing well, and thank you for your kind words and thoughts. May you have a lovely Thanksgiving, if that's your thing. If it isn't, eat a bunch of stuff anyway and celebrate the good that is life!

A pair of bucks working a scrape. Central Oklahoma Cross Timbers. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Walking along the river Lea we spotted what looked like condensation coming off the top of one of the buildings in Canary Wharf, London. It almost looked like the building was "scraping" the clouds as they swam by in the sky. The photograph doesn't do the moment justice, sadly, but at least it captures the feeling of what we saw somewhat.
