I've taken several excursions into Philadelphia to photograph boot scrapers in a couple of the older areas of center city and have posted a mosaic or two of them Here. A dear friend and I were in an antique shop a day or two ago and, wouldn't you know it, I found one sitting on the floor and immediately snapped it up. Neatly enough, it's not exactly like any that I've shot in Philly.
I thought it is an interesting angle. Actually these are two buildings. And... did you notice the reflections?
I found this scraper in a pile of rock dumped at a construction site in downtown Austin, 9cm or 3 9/16 inches on the longest dimension.
This is a prehistoric arrowhead / point from Arkansas, USA. Such objects are relatively common and have been collected for many years. Traditionally, the best collecting sites are plowed farmers' fields.
Arrowheads, spearpoints, scrapers, and knives were made from a variety of specific materials, but chert ("flint") was the most commonly used. Chert / flint is a cryptocrystalline, quartzose sedimentary rock.
