Dumbarton Castle (Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Breatainn, pronounced [d̪̊unˈb̊ɾʲɛhd̪̊ɪɲ]) has the longest recorded history of any stronghold in Scotland. It overlooks the Scottish town of Dumbarton, and sits on a plug of volcanic basalt known as Dumbarton Rock which is 240 feet (73 m) high.

Starting at Perth and standing at Kilcrakie outside Pitlochry, I had the best vantage point on the bridge to capture cyclists racing through the stunning hills and along the glistening river. The views are absolutely breathtaking! 🌄🚵♀️

On the way back down from the top of Bin Hill I turned to look at the track that I had just came down and spotted this shot, I thought it was pretty cool!
After waking up at 3am, I embarked on a hike to witness the first light hitting the majestic north face of the Old Man of Storr. Ever since seeing this awe-inspiring landscape in the film 'Prometheus,' I felt a deep connection to this place. My 10 day trip to the Isle of Skye, wild camping in various spots, was truly about experiencing this ancient rock formation up close. As I stood there, I imagined druids gathering or perhaps something otherworldly shaping the land. This moment was more than just a beautiful sunrise - it felt like a journey to another time, another realm.
The track to the top of Bin Hill, made all the better by me singing "On the trail of the lonesome pine". Funny, didn't see any wildlife on the way up, wonder why!
Just coming out of the woods before the open ground ascent to the top of Bin Hill, the path gets a little steeper from here in (I make it sound like a mountain buts its just a big hill that made my thighs burn!).
