And you may ask yourself, "Why is she doing the recently thin, bobbed and bespectacled Star Jones for the 4th of her submissions to the POOF's 70s TV Smack Down???"
It's a fair question.
But, give a sistah a break in her loose interpretation of Velma. It's not the first time I've been loose. Whaaaaaat? Did I just type that?
If my glasses were a leeetle more square and I could have found my safety orange turtleneck I'm just SURE the resemblance would have been uncanny. Oh, and if I had bangs. This is fun but I'm just not THAT committed to the Smack Down to go and cut my hairs.
To get the rest of your 70's on, check out chicfreaksali and *Dare* for their contributions to the bafoonery.
Replica of The Mystery Machine, the van used in the Scooby Doo cartoons and movies.
Great for taking meddling kids and their nosy dog to abandoned amusement parks.

One thing that Hanna Barbera did a lot on the old shows was to set up a scene with a pan of the setting of the story. i painstakingly put together the scenes to make some really beautiful art. Here is one such scene with Jane and Rosey or is it Rosie, from the Jetsons

-->> Some people were baffled (but not suprised) at my affinity for Scrappy Doo ..
..eh whatever.. the real mystery is how the h3ll i gotta ahold of this cel of Scrappy dressed as a reporter.
Shouldn't be to hard.. since Scrappy dominated Scooby's '80s.. wish me luck. I know i've had this cel a # of years.. i just don't remember where the %$%^$%^* it came from.
I need to do some investigatin' too .. to see which of the bazillion episodes this originated from.
When your little.. and this cute little puppy is throwin' his fists around wantin' to beat up every monster in sight ..and lookin' up to his cowardly uncle for a source of inspiration.. it does summin' to ya.
((Back when i was at Cartoon School .. tons and tons of our reference material were old style sheets, turnarounds, and background art from the Hanna-Barbera archives my teachers managed to get ahold of including 'Scrappy character sheets'. That may be another reason i like the character so much. ))
Ok i admit it i'm a few biscuits short of a whole box of Scooby Snacks .. but Scrappy i will declare as one of Hanna-Barbera's greatest characters ever .. and i mean Scooby's all over the place and so IN YOUR FACE anymore..
does it really matter ?? I mean ..the ol' mutt is burnin' up here !!
Oh well .. i'm goin' ta hell i know !!
Taaa da dada dat daaaaaaaaaaaa!! Puppy Power !!
THAT's RIGHT .. I SAID IT.. NOW WHO WANT's a Piece of me !?
.. LEMMEE AT 'eM .. I'll SPLATT' em !!
(( ..i gaurantee ya .. i was the only one cheerin' in the cinema for Scrappy takin' on his uncle in the 2002 Scooby movie..gees..)
One for Richard! Photographed a couple of years ago just prior to being replaced by yet ANOTHER ENVIRO, This Crazy Bus is photogtaped on the Market Square, Northampton, with Driver Clayton doing a fine job!
This photo was taken by me in August 1979. A stage show performance with some of Hanna Barbera's Costume Characters, Fred Flinstone, Hong King Phooey, Yogi Bear, Jabberjaw and Scooby Doo.
Little known little remembered cartoon airing during the Skatebirds show...clunker scooter by day, Wonder Wheels by night...don't ask me why
This was previously a restaurant called West Egg and before that it was a computer repair shop.

I worked on this cake for a birthday party today. The birthday girl is having a Scooby Doo party. I created her cake last year and was thrilled when she requested another cake this year!
It's a 7" square cake covered in fondant with fondant decorations.
Thanks to Mama Rhu @ Pimp My Cake for the inspiration. You can see her cake here: www.flickr.com/photos/mamarhu/5178355866/in/faves-9291643...
Scooby Doo cookies toppers for my daughter Delaney's 4th Birthday. I used them as cake toppers. My first time with cookies on a stick! Well worth the extra work... they gave me just the effect I was looking for. I still stress over doing faces... and so admire those who can do them well!
Obviously the "success" of the Teenage Pebble and Bamm Bamm show promted the HB gang to give grow up other past kids. in this series, Judy was going to be on the other end of her teen years and Elroy a full fledged high school hunk. Astro also got a small sidekick either it would have been his son, nephew or who knows what. Some of the charcters that made it onto Partridge Familly 2200 A.D. are here. must have been developed at the same time and they liked Veenie and the other aliens.
i gave a little color to this one so we could see what it might look like. used colors associated with these specific Jetsons
Mystery, Inc. makes an appearance. If you didn't stop by the 70s Ball at the VAT, you missed your opportunity to see these guys stayin' alive, getting down, and playing funky music.

Yep...i am trying to make this place THE destination for all things googled about the beloved Bear with the name of Yogi. I am searching my trove of Yogi images and unleashing the best of the unseen in honor of his MOVIE OPENING ON DEC. 17th. You really should go see it.
From the episode where Fred falls asleep and wakes up 30 years later. i think its called Rip Van Flintstone. Anyway, here are the original version of the grown up twosome
