Trying something different out for the top flap of my scissors case to go with my crochet hook case. The original pattern for the scissor case is too small for my scissors + too small in the yarn that I have & am using so I've blown the part of the pattern that gets made out of felt up to 115% & was looking for another triangular shaped crochet pattern to try for the crocheted top flap.
I found an Irish crochet style triangle motif I really loved & luckily it turned out to be the perfect size for the larger case pattern & in the yarn I'm using. Unblocked here, it's blocking at the moment.

Nice wander round the artisan market and then onto the North West Phillumenists meet up at the Memorial Court ( on until 4 I think ). Excellent displays of cigarette and matchbox related ephemera and some going for very cheap prices. Hazel even got a nice book given to her for nothing! Bought tons of labels for our collection and few boxes of matches too.

My wife gave me this pair of scissors fifty years ago. I used them to cut paper when I was teaching. The large scissors I had been using strangely vanished after I'd been away on a course so she had my name engraved on these new ones. The engraving cost more than the scissors but I used them for many years.
I haven't used them for some time, then I started to write the titles of the daily photographs I need to take for the We're Here! group and the Our Daily Challenge group on a small piece of paper which I carry around to remind me. These scissors are just right 😀
