These are the scissors I keep in my desk. The small ones are most often used for snipping cable ties and opening packages, the large ones for cutting paper. Both are useful and neither would be a good substitute for the other.

These are the scissors I use for my felt crafting. I cut everything by hand and never use any mechanical cutters.
Embroidery scissors are great for cutting out small & fiddly felt shapes.
