The Science Museum is one of three major museums on Exhibition Road in South Kensington, London. It was founded in 1857 and today is one of the city's major tourist attractions, attracting 2.7 million visitors annually.
Like other publicly funded national museums in the United Kingdom, the Science Museum does not charge visitors for admission. Temporary exhibitions, however, may incur an admission fee. It is part of the Science Museum Group, having merged with the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester in 2012.
Youth had fun learning the science behind several crazy experiments, including: electromagnets, dry ice mixed with water, and a non-Newtonian liquid made of cornstarch and water. Instructor: Evan Kucera, 4-H Volunteer
The museum is located opposite the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Givat Ram neighborhood. The museum is named for its principal donor, Neri Bloomfield. The museum features indoor and outdoor hands-on exhibits, among them a bubble-making corner in which huge bubbles are produced by chains and sticks. Special events at the museum include programs on science-related topics, such as biomedical research, in which the public is invited to meet stem cell researchers and discuss the ethical issues involved. A special night science program sponsored by the European Union has been held at the museum for several years.
The base of "Rachel", the largest refractor telescope (20") in the western United States regularly open to the public. It was commissioned in 1914.

Monmouth Science Initiative was created by Alan Francis (former head of Biology) and MS staff involved in its running are Alan Francis, Emma Barson and Keith Moseley. MSI gathers together post-16 scientists from 5 or 6 schools in the area. they participate in advanced lab exercises, visit universities and scientists, mathematicians and engineers help to run the laboratories.
