Sep 22 four student volunteers from the Physics Dept’s Outreach Group joined the Chemistry Dept’s Outreach Group for “An Evening of Science” in front of the French Science Building. Using demonstrations, the students explained two topics they learned in mechanics, Newton’s 3rd Law and Waves.
Students at Whitman Elementary learned about science while making their own super ball and sidewalk chalk during the Science Explorers program!
CIFOR-ICRAF hosted a welcome reception to mark the start of the CGIAR Science Week 2025, bringing together key stakeholders from government, science, policy and industry to foster collaborations for a sustainable and resilient future.

On behalf of iLearn STEAM Crew, I would like to congratulate the participants of the 6th Annual North Jersey Science Olympiad. This year’s 300 Olympians worked in 20 teams to complete 14 challenges in science, technology, engineering and problem solving. It was a wonderful tournament with full of energy and enthusiasm. The four highest scoring teams were awarded trophies and individual students received 1st to 6th place medals.

Why is it so hard to grade students? Because I watched my seventh graders in science class drag a tuliptree (Liriodendron tulipifera) branch back to the school, break it into pieces, strip bark, sharpen spindles on rocks, and burn in the fireboards and handholds over the past month. I’m certain they learned a lot in the process; but, I need to grade on sciency words and concepts too so . . .
The museum is located opposite the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Givat Ram neighborhood. The museum is named for its principal donor, Neri Bloomfield. The museum features indoor and outdoor hands-on exhibits, among them a bubble-making corner in which huge bubbles are produced by chains and sticks. Special events at the museum include programs on science-related topics, such as biomedical research, in which the public is invited to meet stem cell researchers and discuss the ethical issues involved. A special night science program sponsored by the European Union has been held at the museum for several years.

INFINITY SCIENCE CENTER in Pearlington is a science museum with a quality, fun, and fascinating learning experience accesible to everyone. INFINITY also is host to the NASA Stennis Visitor Center offering Space and Earth science with engineering and technology content through innovative programming.
