This is my glovebox, the gauges and switches at the bottom control the pressure inside the box (using nitrogen gas and a vacuum line). I do work inside the box by putting my hands in the gloves and pushing them in (i have the hands turned in at the moment so you can't see them but the black tubes sticking out are gloves). This allows me to work with compounds that are air sensitive. It is a real art form trying to do delicate, fiddly work while wearing thick butyl gloves =)

originally shot with a tilt-shift 45mm, similar process as before: clone out dust spots, dupe the layer, process with Alien Skin Exposure, layer blend to soft light, fix opacity until it looks right, dupe the base layer, low-radius high pass, set to overlay (sharpening, basically) then back into lightroom and through LRMogrify to get what you see.

"I am among those who think that science has great beauty. A scientist in his laboratory is not only a technician: he is also a child placed before natural phenomena which impress him like a fairy tale."

Undated handout photo issued by Peter the Great Museum of a 36,000-year-old skull, after a genome taken from the skeleton helped scientists shed new light on interbreeding between humans and Neanderthals. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Issue date: Thursday November 6, 2014. The ground-breaking study of DNA recovered from a fossil of one of the earliest known Europeans - a man who lived in western Russia - shows that the genetics of the earliest inhabitants of the continent survived the last ice age, helping form the basis of the modern-day population. Happy Earth Day!
On top of raising ecologic awareness, this "holiday" also celebrates life's diversity and the interdependence of the countless organisms in this planet. To me, it reminds us that man is NOT apart from nature but is indeed a part of nature. Inadvertently, the science of ecology---as natural selection has done--- puts a huge crack at that Bronze Age myth of man as the center of creation.
