Chibisuke worker frame based on the amazing render/design by Lobolabo.

twitter.com/Lobolabo/status/1432260487413002241?s=20

In their take the its a cargo tug (literally) with rear facing arms and thruster legs, but I reinterpreted it as a hermit crab like design mobile worker. Its movement resembles that of a squid propelling itself backwards instead of forwards. Definitely an Ijad style frame, and probably the only decent one I've done (other than my beloved spiky turtle, RIP).

The cargo shell would make a great defensive system, but I tried a take with more standard armament as well.

MORNING TWILLIGHT

Hard to imagine- but it's the heart of the morning rush hour at 7.56 AM in the city center with Combino 2027 on line 4 approaching the Central Station.

It's me! Tim actually took his photo out when we had our walk last weekend and this is a photo he took of me on the newly renovated walkway around Southsea Castle.

Here's so info on Bernard de Gomme, Military Engineer:

In May 1662 King Charles II paid two visits to Portsmouth; the latter, on the 21st May went down in history as the day that the king married Catherine of Braganza at Government House and easily overshadowed the former, on the 18th May, when Charles met with his Chief Military Engineer Sir Bernard de Gomme to discuss progress on the refortification of Portsmouth.

Although de Gomme had discussed the defence of Portsmouth with the king in May 1662 it wasn't until 1665 that extensive work was put in hand, this period of construction lasting five years until 1670. A second bout of work began in 1677 and again lasted five years. The result was one of the most fortified towns in the whole kingdom, rivalled only by Berwick.

Way back in August 2008 I asked Tracy if I could adopt an owl, it's taken a long time but finally I set it free on an ancient wall overlooking Ashridge Forest.

... hoping that come Saturday, I still have the nerve!!

As train 562 heads through Torrey Pines, the paint scheme variation between locomotive 2109 and the 2114 is quite apparent. The 2109 displays the original version of the scheme while the 2114 wears a later variant that was chosen mid production. The newer version matches the paint lines on the current Surfliner equipment.

I'm thinking of using red oak stain for the door. I wonder if that would be too dark? The grey on the wall is travertine from Valspar's Signature line.

This would have made a very dramatic room, and it was good fun to paint, but I was worried that the lady I am decorating the house for would find it a bit dark. I know that her taste in furniture is very feminine and light so have abandoned this in favour of something that will work better with her collection (see next photo). Maybe another time...

I came up with this idea of design upon unexpectedly explore (Patupat) a native delicacy of provinces especially in northern part of Luzon guess the same weave could be seen all over the country as part of daily lives.

Could be use as a special livery or commemorative occassion of such province.

Any bus company would love to use it please email me...

Another dull day outside meant it was time for some more indoor photography. Todays subjects were a handful of colouring pencils.

At this rate I am going to run out of items round the house to shoot!

A while back, my brother took 2023 set 60423 (Downtown Streetcar and Station) and recolored it on a whim into the classic red, white, blue, and light gray Metroliner color scheme from early days of LEGO 9V Trains. After seeing that image, I thought about making my own version - and I failed to recreate it. So I asked him to take his model and put a second center car on it and he said sure. A few more tweaks later, and this is the result as rendered by him in Studio. (Thanks bro for all the work you put into this!)

To be built in real life as funding allows.

Amtrak 321 leads a train out of Chicago in June of 73.

He looks like he's some triad boss thinking something to me

Despite all the "coming soon" signs plastered on the front sporting the new logo and color scheme prior to opening, what little interior signage there was (and there was very, very little of it!) for opening weekend itself was of the red and yellow style. The associates all working in the store (including both "managers" Retail Retell and I have discussed seeing in the past) all were wearing the red "bird logo" t-shirts as well. I'm guessing at this point the new logo and such won't be officially unveiled until early 2017.

UPDATE: the Tuesday Morning website has finally switched over to the new logo, which is kind of cool, since everyone agrees that logo is nice and refreshingly retro-feeling. Sadly however, that also means the unique bird logo has now been retired as well, or will soon be making it's exit :(

Kings College Chapel, Cambridge

The vast scheme of early 16th Century glass, begun at the behest of Henry VII and (almost) completed under the eye of Henry VIII, is undoubtedly the biggest and best of its kind anywhere in the British Isles. The windows form a spectacular Biblical sequence around the chapel in eleven vast windows, most with five lights but the east with nine lights. New Testament scenes form the lower half of each window and the Old Testament scenes which prefigured them are in the upper lights. The Reformation intervened before the west window could be filled, and instead it was glazed with clear glass, not to be filled with the final Judgement scene until Clayton & Bell came along in 1875.
