"Christmas in Decatur"

These photos are my entries in my photo club's Street Scenes competition next week.
Lord Shiva, one among the trinity of Gods in Hindu Mythology, is known as the destroyer. He is worshipped widely by all Hindus, especially in North India. This statue of Lord Shiva is almost a hundred feet in height. The state of Gujarat is always experiencing civil unrest due to a large religious divide, between Hindus and Muslims.
Ah, hah! This is the scene of the famous "Gurdon lights' located between Gurdon and Interstate 30 in Clark County. The lights have been featured on ABC Television's 20/20, and is rumored to be the lantern of a trainman who was killed in a crash on that area of the track.
