I got a new toy on Saturday and decided to put it to the test. This is the view from behind lower Panther creek falls. There isn't much room behind the water but i'm a little guy and can fit into tight spots :-) Happy waterfall Wednesday.

While I was in Lalibela to see the Christmas festivities, I was very glad that I'd stayed Boxing Day and the day after; many Ethiopian pilgrims had stayed to visit the churches and make their devotions, and the atmosphere was altogether more meditative and less frenetic, though still celebratory with many (particularly children) dressed up in their finery.

Manikins seen through a window as they shop. Upstairs from a tourist gift store is a museum of shopping.

This was taken from a magazine photo, I liked the style and colour. I listened to the Beach Boys while painting it, added to that it was a beautiful summer's day. My girl-friend at the time wanted the painting, but I would not give it her. She can have it now.

Bean Scene cafe with live music on the lower floor (used to be a Clydesdale Bank when I first came here) and apartments above (N.B. Bean Scene has free wifi if you are paying a visit and want to check your email and Flickr!). The very first place I stayed in when I moved to Edinburgh in 91 was literally on the other side of this building, its next door neighbour. From my window I could see a pub and an Indian restaurant and I knew I was going to settle in fine. Again I just thought I should shoot some scenes of this everyday but important gateway to the city centre before more new building work and the trams changes it.

I love night scenes you girls created. Here is my take with the Row of houses and my children˙s stamp of santa sleight from unknown company(it is hardly even seen it is the santa on the sleigts). Everything seemd so dark, so I added red ribbon.

Im April 1989 wurde SCENE X DREAM als direkte Nachfolgeband der über die deutschen Grenzen

hinaus bekannten Band WALLOP (Metallic Alps) von Stefan Fleischer und Andreas Lorz

gegründet. Mit Andi Sommer fand die Band schnell einen Ausnahmesänger, dessen unverkennbares Stimmvolumen bis heute Bestand hat. Nach mehreren Demoaufnahmen und Teilnahmen an Nachwuchswettbewerben ging die Band 1991 ins Studio um die erste CD aufzunehmen. Der Silberling Scene X Dream erschien 1992 und ist durch seien limitierte Auflage heute ein begehrtes Sammlerstück. Nach kleineren Touren mit Blind Guardian und Grave Digger kam 1993 das Angebot Anvil & Titan Force auf der Power Metal Gods Tour zu supporten, die Band nahm diese Chance gerne an, und tourte im Frühjahr 1993 vier Wochen als Support durch halb Europa. 1994 verlies Andreas Lorz die Band und wurde durch Nico Mola ersetzt mit dem man 1995 das Album Colosseum einspielte, das leider erst 2012 durch die Veröffentlichung auf namhaften Internetportalen den Weg in die Öffentlichkeit fand, da die damalige Plattenfirma MMS Mausoleum nicht mehr solvent war. Im Jahr 1999 beschloss die Band eine Pause einzulegen, die Mitglieder widmeten sich anderen Projekten, so fand Andi Sommer den Weg über die Coverband Lanzer zur Metalband Everfest mit der er 2006 die CD Rising aufnahm, und 2007 in Wacken spielte. Stefan Fleischer produzierte in seinem WHITE ROOMS STUDIO etliche Tonträger. Nico Mola spielte in diversen bands u.a. LOVE GUN (KISS Cover). 2010 beschloss Scene X Dream wieder gemeinsame Wege zu gehen. Mit Martin Winter war der neue Mann an den Drums dann 2011 gefunden. Anfang 2012 schrieb die Band neue Songs und produzierte die Maxi-CD "IDENTITY" im eigenen White Rooms Studio, die ausschließlich als Promo-CD zum geplanten Longplayer dient.

Zur Zeit arbeitet die Band an neuen Songs für das im Frühjahr geplante Album Identity.
