In a scene mimicking years past, an SD70i & BC Rail dash 9 take care of train Z111, seen here at about the halfway point of the directional running zone on the CP Parry Sound Sub; the siding at Britt, Ontario. The searchlights, rocky landscape, and London-built leader here make for what I'd call a quintessential Canadian railroading scene. As a bit of a bonus, to mine and Isaac’s surprise an emergency 10-minute roadside setback while chasing this from Parry Sound somehow still left enough time to catch up to it here.

Hello again. We are in the midst of a strange and unsettling season here. However, there are places we can go to engage or to recharge. Going through some shots from last fall that I hadn't processed and this one caught my eye. I decided to leave it uncropped because of the nice scenery.
Was hoping to get my first April sunset pics but no sign of the setting sun and the light was completely flat!
Tried to get a little creative using street lights, trees and my car to hopefully create something a bit interesting out of a very ordinary scene. Could not leave empty handed!
This nativity scene inspired by Beato Angelico, Botticelli's Madonna del Magnificat and minor artists of the 15th century was created by the students and teachers of the "Emilio Greco" State Art High School in Catania. It was placed in the churchyard of the Basilica della Collegiata, an architectural masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque.
Normally I'd be going for the face of the castle but this time I was taken to see the rock climbing points on the rock faces to the right......
Think I'm going to stick to photography and hiking - I'm enough of a fall risk as it is!

Talsarnau or Talsamau is a village and community in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. Its population was 525 in 2001, and had increased to 550 at the 2011 Census. The village of Talsarnau is situated on the A496 coastal road between Maentwrog and Harlech, close to the hamlets of Eisingrug and Llandecwyn.
