We happened to time our one and only ever trip to Rome when a marathon was occurring. We had intended to rent golf carts to cruise around. Instead, my sister and I literally saw nothing of the city cause the trip was switched to walking. This was the location where we just waited while the others dealt with a surly guide.
I take a lot of photos when I'm 'on location' getting photographs of whatever takes my fancy. I thought it was time for a little collage of these shots, as they tell more of a story of the work that goes into this hobby. I'm sure you can all relate.
I've covered thousands of miles for fun, climbed many hills, through every season, in all weather and managed to get the shots I've wanted. Worth it!
Fully aware I'm insane and should probably check myself in but... I'm not finished.
"The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1933 as a waterfowl sanctuary for birds migrating along the critical migration highway called the Atlantic Flyway. The refuge is located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, Maryland in Dorchester County, and consists of over 28,000 acres (110 km2) of freshwater impoundments, brackish tidal wetlands, open fields, and mixed evergreen and deciduous forests. Blackwater NWR is one of over 540 units in the National Wildlife Refuge System, which is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service."
