The rubbish clear skies over the last 2 days have hardly been conducive for good photography, but the skis on the 12th of February were certainly more interesting, just a shame nothing exciting was happening locally to make the most of them. However, during a pleasant walk down to the canal, this popular scene overlooking the chandlers and dry dock was taken.

I took this in Ramsgate, on the south coast of South Africa at about 0600. It was shot on Velvia using a panorama camera and is one of my personal favourites.

"Trojan" basks in the August bank holiday sun at Didcot Railway Centre, while "Pendennis Castle" and Prairie Tank 5572 hide away in the shadows.

Locomotive: 1897-built Great Western Railway Avonside Engine Company 0-4-0ST 1340 "Trojan".
