Yarn spun from a Loop SSB.. this is my first project completed from yarn to FO! This is also my first knitted item! I love it!

Finally finished this scarf a few weeks ago. Took a while cause I kept getting sidetracked with something else. I'm very happy with how it turned out...love the lace pattern and the color. :)
Scarf knitted for me by my friend Liz to go under my green walking coat, it fits so well and is very warm.

Before zooming in, this scarf appears incredibly smooth and shiny - almost iridescent. However, when you focus on only an inch or two, the weave predominates and the silky appearance disappears. Still interesting, but nothing like what I was anticipating!
I was looking through some old photos and found this scarf with my grandparent's wedding cake topper wrapped inside of it. They were married in 1946, I am assuming this scarf is from around that time?
Don't ask why. Don't ask how. Don't comment on the tripod just out of shot with pegs and sticky-tape. Don't ask questions about why she's got no top on implying she's warm and yet is wrapped in a scarf.
It just seemed like something different to do you know? ;-)

found this piece cut in my fabric stash but i never did the seams til tonight. also found several dresses cut out that i need to sew.
