DIY boxy film "scanner" in 10 easy steps:
1) find some lonely paper box (it will be happy for being re-used :-])
2) get something sharp and cut two holes - first one on the top (make it a little smaller than the speedlight's head), the second from the front (make it a little larger than the film)
3) use white paper as an infinite background (like in a photo studio)
4) make some nifty film holder (mine is a folded sheet of paper with hole in the middle)

After the scanners are burned in and stress tested… they come to this calibration station where each set is carefully checked and calibrated to ILDA 30K speeds…

Supporting IAMX were Scanners - a really amazing band - these guys know how to rock out ... and work the heroin chic look at the same time.
ZUIKO 28mm F2.8 LENS TEST - ON OM30 - FILM TEST - Gave my gorgeous little 28mm a run on some Fuji 400 (the cheap stuff), processed in Cinestill C41, scanned with OpticFilm 135 scanner. I like these little Olympus primes, my choice of "only one camera" would be an Olympus OM if ONLY they had a diopter adjustment (I wear specs, I either need AF or a dioptric adjustment!). Bullcreek, Rossmoyne and Shelley...
