Although the coast of California is mild and ice free in the winter (except at higher altitudes) there is plenty of snow in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The skiing is spectacular. Those Pacific storms which give rain to the coast provide the Sierras with meters of the white stuff.
The image shot from a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC is from three 35mm Kodak slides and was scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050, merged and restored with multiple Photoshop operations.
The Cavallo Point Marina is the closest such marina to the Golden Gate Strait in the Bay. It is in the sheltered Horseshoe Cove next to Fort Baker.

The Galilee Maritime Service Harbor is dedicated to the preservation of Sausalito 's traditional working waterfront uses and creation of diverse public access opportunities. The on-going redevelopment of the site has created paths and viewing areas from which the public can enjoy views of the bay and marsh from the shore. Floating docks open to the public allow waterfront visitors to walk out over the water and view the interesting and historic boats berthed at Galilee.

Esses são dois elementos que representam muito bem o centro de Cruzeiro.
O prédio é da Escola Estadual Arnolfo Azevedo, uma das instituições de ensino mais tradicionais da cidade, local este onde foi assinado o armistício que pos fim a revolução de 1932.
E a árvore ao fundo é se não me engano o único exemplar de "pau-brasil" de Cruzeiro.

Although very large, Asian elephants are quite nimble and can move over terrain that would be impossible for any vehicle. In this manner they are used to locate isolated teak trees which are cut. The elephants, working closely with their mahout, are then the critical means of transporting the logs out of the forest.
