1/24 Scale Honda S2000. Fit was excellent. My paint job was the best yet. The bonnet and boot are really shiny (sadly with a few streaks). The doors are pretty good too.

Finally primed, but needs some fixing-up before I paint it. There are a couple of pin marks I didn't spot, plus one or two of the welds need sanding back.

A 1/9 scale model by ESCI. Extensively weathered and distressed to give the impression of heavy use. The trick to realism in photos such as this is an extremely low camera angle coupled with maximum depth of field. Nothing gives up a model photo more quickly than a shallow depth of field. Be sure to dull any tell-tale plastic shine. Also pay careful attention to the contact point between the tires and the ground. It always looks better if the vehicle appears to have settled into the earth a bit rather than sitting on top of it. Here the front wheels were set to indicate a shallow turn which implies realism. The passenger side door was left partially open to suggest that someone just exited the vehicle and the trunk lid is shown propped open to give the impression of mechanical difficulty. Added realism is achieved by forcing the perspective with a natural background such as the trees in this image. They're full size trees, but several hundred feet back from the model and so appear in scale. If enough subtle realistic clues are incorporated into the photo, the viewer eventually just assumes they are looking at a full scale scene.
