For the Smile on Saturday group challenge "Say Cheese!"
I almost didn't try for this week. I've struggled shooting cheese before. But that was for Macro Monday, and cheese smaller than 3" is not easy. So I found a star shaped waxed Red Leicester in the fridge, and set to work! ;o)

It is served after having been grated with a sort of knife which turns around the cheese, on a central axis. This device is called "girolle" (a mushroom) because the shape of the grated cheese looks like this mushroom. This cheese is very tasty !

Smile on Saturday! :-) - Say Cheese!
I am not much of a cheese fan. Since this week Macro Mondays theme is about cheese, so off I go for cheese hunting for my photo shoot. I decided to create something fun with the 2 types of cheeses I bought. I used two Laughing Cow cheese wedges for the mice. While the little snack is a small piece of Oka cheese. The other ingredients I used to complete the mice are : chopped black olive for the nose, almond flake for the ears, black peppercorn the eyes and lastly the tail is cooked spaghettini.
As for the backdrop, it is a brown cardboard with a mouse hole I had to cut.
Happy Macro Mondays everyone!
Don't forget to ''Say Cheese!'' 😃
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
This is my Macro Monday entry under the theme "Say Cheese"; a Port Wine Derby Cheese of Belton, England. It displays an elegant burgundy veining and delivers the smooth and creamy texture of Derby cheese (a mild, semi-firm British cow's milk cheese) which is hand made on the farm. HMM
A candid street photo of a young lady photographer who takes a photo from the exclusive point of view. May the happiness be with her.
For Macro Mondays theme; "Say Cheese".
This mini muffin is just under the three inch rule. I chose "cream cheese" to top it, and of course a dab of strawberry jam. YUM!
HMM to all

Thanks for views, faves and comments! ;)
Today’s theme “Say Cheese” couldn’t have come to life without the crucial help of my Danboard mini Dina in the role of the photographer. HMM
Large amounts of different cheeses were consumed in the making of this photograph. I like these food based themes. HMM everyone!
We all know that the Moon is made of cheese ;-)
A little known "fact" is, however, that, besides the Martian crater "Amsterdam", a crater on the Moon is named after the dutch capital as well. Since it has been discovered much earlier than the Martian crater, it is called "Old Amsterdam" ;-).
Old Amsterdam is a well known dutch cheese speciality, too. What you see here, however, is an aged (3 years), or vintage Gouda (delicious! Almost as good as the "Reypenaer").
I processed this extreme close-up of one of the Gouda's "eyes" in LR and Silver Efex, and applied a little dodge and burn in PS as well. And because I was sure that we would see many yellow captures for this theme, I gave it a blue tinting.
Thank you for your kind comments, I appreciate every single one, and your faves. I'm rather busy at the moment, and therefore really behind with answering your lovely comments. Still trying to catch up ;-)
A Happy Macro Monday everyone!

Smile on Saturday - Say Cheese
This is a very old shot. I am not a big cheese fan. Occasionally put some melted cheese on broccoli or of course in a sub sandwich.

"Say Cheese" theme for Macro Mondays
This is a mini-cheese with a tiny wedge removed. The cheese is 1.5" across. After doing multiple shots using just the cheese, I realized that it was going to look like an ordinary full sized cheese so I had to have something to show the size. I tried several things including a knife and a ruler. Then suddenly it hit me... the old classic -- cheese and cracker! :-)

I am intolerant to cheese protein, so this week the subject is not really welcome :-). Anyway, I do not have to eat to take a picture...
Nowadays there are many discussions around the subject of walls to keep people apart from each others... so I dedicated this wall made with cheese bricks to Speedy Gonzales.

The hunter’s teeth are ivory saws
That hack through bone and sever flesh
The hunter’s teeth are snarling eyes
That slice the mesh of nervous heads
But hunter knows that
teeth can turn
burrow through its own mind’s flesh
sometimes hunter hunts itself
Like teeth that eat through sleep

Say Cheese
This is a tiny ornament, measures 2.5 inches, I added a tiny piece of cheese some chutney, slivers of celery and some tiny imitation grapes to add some colour. I've been eating cheese all week :-) HMM
Poppy found a stack of cheese sandwiches on the beach at St Cyrus. She knows she's not to eat things she finds, but she did ask---mean that I had her pose beside them for a photo, but didn't let her eat them! She was rewarded with chicken when we got home though!
A quick trip to the Graff Factory with Rob Bates doing his best not to flinch while I set off pyrotechnics!
So I've been a member of the Macro Monday group for well over a year but this is my first ever submission.
Combining photography with my love of food was too much to resist. Took the shot, ate the lot. Griddled sour dough and oozing camembert cheese. Oh Yes!!
Not my usual style of photography but great to try new methods!
Thank you for all the faves and comments.
