Hello everybody !!!
Today, I had to travel from Paris to Brussels with the Thalys, a high speed train.
At some point, as I watched out of the window, my awareness got caught by the amazing cloud panorama unfolding in the sky ... And by the fact that I was on a high speed travel through it, between the earth and the skies ...
That's when "Who Will Stop the Rain" started to play on my iPod. It's a song by Asia raising environmental consciousness:
"Who tells the wind which way to blow?
I wonder who will stop the rain
The rocks that hold the secrets, they don't know
So who can stop the rain?"
My daydream begun:
The sky seems so vast, spanning from Paris to Brussels. The clouds seem so invulnerable. How could we ever stop the rain ?? How could we ever upset the natural cycles and balances ??
Well, we have started doing it. Human beings start to have a growing impact on their environment ... but our awareness (a real one related to action) is only slowly emerging.
Here I am sitting in my train, on my journey through life: I see the sky, the clouds, the elements ... but do I ?? I rush through them at high speed ... and the vision is obstructed by the electrical lines of the railway. Nature just becomes an interlude between the busy lives of two big cities, Paris and Brussels.
And still, what a marvel our cities, technologies, civilizations are !!!
Questions arise:
Where do we come from ?? Where are we going ?? What are we trying to reach ?? Where may we reach ?? Will we stop the rain ??
Environmental contemplation and awareness inspirations to all of you :-)

The huge Ganesha idols were a sight to behold - sans the crowds of the previous evening, but the pollution had to be seen to be believed.
The truth is that Visarjan (Immersion) pollutes the waters. Lord Ganesha would not want pollution of any kind. It is about time that his worshippers made do with a symbolic immersion instead of pollution our water bodies.
This is at Girgaum Chowpatty beach on the morning of 6th September after the big immersion - Visarjan of Anantha Chaturdashi on 5 Sept. 2017
The huge Ganesha idols were a sight to behold - sans the crowds of the previous evening, but the pollution had to be seen to be believed.
The truth is that Visarjan (Immersion) pollutes the waters. Lord Ganesha would not want pollution of any kind. It is about time that his worshippers made do with a symbolic immersion instead of pollution our water bodies.
As part of our Green Deeds Week (and beyond) the Fun Team organised an organic lunch to help reduce our eco-footprint on this planet.
It was delicious!
