CFL bulbs are energy efficient and long lasting, but they don’t hold a candle to the latest LED technology. LED bulbs are even more efficient than CFL bulbs and can last up to 25 years. Replacing lights in hard to reach areas with long lasting LED bulbs means less time spent on a ladder changing burnt-out incandescent bulbs. LED bulbs can also be used in dimmable fixtures. PSE electric customers can receive up to a $10 rebate on ENERGY STAR-qualified LED bulbs at participating retailers. Visit PSE.com/LEDs to find a retailer who carries PSE rebated bulbs.

Cheaper Flight
As we have talked about in the article "Money saving 101 - Save Money on Flight Bookings", the price of airline tickets is fluctuating in according to supply and demand. Here are the basic rules you have to follow to book cheaper flight tickets:
1. Flexible time. Book flight with flexible days. You will instantly find the big price difference.
2. Book tickets in advance. At least three weeks ahead.
3. Low traffic days. It is cheaper to flight on working days and low-traffic days.
The above is the basic rules to save flight tickets. For details, you can check the article mentioned above.
Lighter Packing
It is difficult to do packing for your summer vocation, but it is easier if you keep everything organized.
1. Make a list of every item you need to bring. And check it up when you place it in your suitcase.
2. Take the list with you so that you won't forget anything there.
3. Wear bulk and necessary items to airport directly. Don't pack them. It will save you a lot of space.
4. Beside a blow dryer, you can bring a flat iron. A very functional hair styling tool. You can make you hair straight, wavy and curly.
5. Bring enough socks and undies. The quality is equal to the days of trip plus 1/4. If your tip is 8 days, bring 10 pairs of socks and undies. So that you are well-prepared for multiple activities.
Smoother Trips
Beside all the tips, to have a successful trip, you shouldn't forget them:
1. Charges. Charges for mobiles, laptops, and cameras… and remember to bring batteries for your camera, so that it will work when extra battery is out of power.
2. Sunglasses. Must-have item for summer vocation. And it is not easy to grab a perfect one for you at Target.
3. Swimsuit. You have spent a couple of weeks to decide which one is the perfect for your vocation and spent a lot for it and think it is well-worth. I believe you don't want to buy a subpar from supermarket, do you?

When we think about where our energy dollars go, we notice the obvious choices we see every day around the house - lights, kitchen appliances, television, and air conditioning and heating.
But we tend to overlook the expense of heating water for our daily needs, however 25% of each energy dollar goes to heat water.
Thats .25 cents on every dollar of our electric bills.
Ouch !
I'm not gonna suggest that we all turn down the temperatures of our hot water heaters, although if your hot water heater is easily accessible I would recomend it because the hotter your water is the more electricity it takes to heat it.
My hot water heater is behind an access panel in my sons closet, it's hard to get to and I want hot water when I use it , not luke warm.
Instead what I want each of you to understand is that it costs approx: .12-15 cents per hour for your hot water heaters to heat your water.
Thats about $2.00 - $2.50 per day.
My next question is... How often do you use hot water ?
With a little re-arranging of your schedules you can reduce the cost of running your hot water heater to just pennies per month.
I turn off the breaker in our electric breaker box ALL NIGHT and ALL DAY.
I don't use hot water during the day so why pay for all of those un-nessesay heating hours?
I turn it back on between 5:00 - 6:00 PM, it has time now to heat the water we will need for dishes, and showers.
At 9:00 PM I flip the breaker back to OFF.
So at this point Im paying for just 4 hours of heating time per day at a cost of maybe .50 cents per day or less.
I save about $40.00 per month on my electric bill.
NOTE: I did have to set an alarm clock for 5:00 PM to remind myself to turn it on.
When long lasting CFL bulbs finally burn out, remember that CFL bulbs shouldn’t be tossed in the garbage or regular household recycling bins. PSE offers free CFL recycling at participating business locations all over Western Washington. In addition to free CFL recycling, PSE now offers free incandescent bulb recycling too. Don’t wait to make the switch, replace your inefficient incandescent bulbs with ENERGY STAR®-qualified CFL and LED bulbs that use up to 80 percent less energy than incandescent bulbs. There’s no time like the present. Check PSE.com/BulbRecycling to find convenient locations.

Credit scores are like permanent records at school: they’re a summary of how well you pay your bills, how likely you are to pay loans back, and how much credit you can receive, and they follow you around wherever you go. Good stuff, like getting a higher credit limit from a credit card and paying your bills on time, raises your credit score. Bad stuff, like late bill payments and reductions in your credit limit lower it.
To make CFL and incandescent bulb recycling even easier for you and your coworkers, host a box at your workplace. Materials from CFL and incandescent bulbs including reusable glass, circuitry, aluminum and plastic can all be recycled and reused. Sign up to host a recycling box at PSE.com/BulbDrive.
