Various UNFI-supported independent retailers in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area collectively operate and advertise under the SHOP ‘n SAVE banner.
This location on Library Road in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania is owned by the Duritza family.
While inherited from SUPERVALU, the Pittsburgh-area SHOP ‘n SAVE stores operated separately from the defunct Shop ‘n Save chain in the St. Louis, Missouri area, which was directly owned and operated by SUPERVALU.
Unrelated to the independent retailers supplied by Hannaford in New England.

Heal the World - Michael Jackson
spoken:
Think about the generations and to say we want to make it a better world for our children and our children’s children. So that they know it’s a better world for them; and think they can make it a better place.
There’s a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow.
And if you really try
You’ll find there’s no need to cry
In this place you’ll feel
There’s no hurt or sorrow.
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space, make a better place.
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and me.
If you want to know why
There’s a love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares for joyful giving.
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread
We stop existing and start living
Then it feels that always
Love’s enough for us growing
Make a better world, make a better world.
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and me.
Bridge:
And the dream we were conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify it’s soul
Though it’s plain to see, this world is heavenly
Be God’s glow
We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel
You are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we’ll cry happy tears
Se the nations turn
Their swords into plowshares
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space to make a better place
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and me.
Refrain (2x)
There are people dying if you care enough for living
Make a better place for you and me.
There are people dying if you care enough for living
Make a better place for you and for me.
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our childrenYou and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
Some stories are heard as they have voice, Some are silent as the one of this fallen leaf. "Save nature"
It was cold, the sky threatened rain. Welcome to January in Southsea! The shingle beach is not the most enticing of locations on a day like this but I found the site of this red life belt against the sullen sky rather appealling.
A protester writing Ikulong si Gloria (Jail Gloria) in the street of Ayala, Makati City during the anti-constitutional asembly held last week. According to Pulse Asia, distrust continue to be the predominant sentiment among Filipinos toward President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (45 percent).
Matthew 14:22-33
Been feeling like sinking Peter lately. I am encouraged by what Jesus said just before: "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." And when Peter sank helplessly in fear and faithlessness, Jesus reached out his hand and took hold of him, and when they got back in the boat, the wind ceased, and the disciples turned and worshiped Him.
The Streetlights reading of the Bible has been helpful at different times. It is a great way to be in scripture while I am building.

Every Hyderabadi will swear by the awesome sun settling,,swaying by this massive monolyth every evening. If you haven't sat on one of those crooked benches, you are really missing out on something. A perfect 'sunset' view point'
However, what you don't see here is the dirt gathered here for years now. It's garbed by the sun hues..but sadly the colour of the water in tank bund has turned a mossy blue...
In the mornings
I was anxious
Was better just to stay in bed
Didn't want to fail myself again
Running through all the options
And the endings
Were rolling out in front of me
But I couldn't choose a thread to begin
And I could not love
Coz I could not love myself
Never good enough, no
That was all I'd tell myself
And I was not well
But I could not help myself
I was giving up on living

Questa canzone mi rispecchia davvero tanto, forse troppo.
Il non sentirsi mai abbastanza, il non riuscire ad amarsi. Sono io, purtroppo.
E questa foto racchiude molto di più dell'interpretazione di una canzone.
Qui dentro c'è tutta me stessa.

The real point of re-posting this pic (that's a real fire by the way), was to lure you into watching this vid by young Canadian photographer, Joey Lawrence. It's dumb (like this photo) but funny.

Oh, and I want to kick my photography up a notch, so if you can recommend any strobist lighting videos/workshops, or photoshop courses, or any resources in general, please drop me an email.
Merci.
A goalie statue at St George's Park, "the home of English football". This work of sculptor Vivien Mallock commemorates Arthur Wharton the world's first black professional footballer from late 19th century. Meant to inspire everyone in the game for ethnic and racial unity, it has poignant overtones in the light of the latest racist episode with Chelsea fans in Paris :(
