a CA sauvignon blanc recommended by the guys at our local vintner. also quite nice, and hooray for not breaking it in my luggage and soaking my underwear with booze! that sort of thing happens sometimes.
2010 Reserve Viognier and Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, fresh off the bottling line at Creekside today. Our rigid reserve standards and extensive barrel tasting resulted in a depressingly small quantity of each (only 63 Viognier, and 84 Sauv Blanc). These will be tucked away for some bottle aging time in the warehouse.
Perhaps one of the most contrived pieces of marketing/art I've seen in a while (apparently this wine is no.blahblahblah of limited number of blahblahblah... some concept as much of his art).
Not really a big fan of a Frizzell, but saying that the wine was OK.

Winery Notes- Doc’s Ranch is named after the road where the original Swan planting resides about two blocks from Coastlands. Similar to the pairing of Emmaline Ann and Monticue, Doc’s and Coastlands are neighbors in both climate and geology. The first 1.5-acre planting of Swan selection was put in the ground in 1998 by Peter Marsh. In the early aughts Bryon Sheets purchased the property from Mr. Marsh and went on to plant an additional 7.8 acres of Pinot and Chardonnay in 2011. In 2017 we split the vineyard into two clonal pairings Pommard & 114 along with Swan & Calera. Es muy bueno para acompañar la labor del campo cuando uno tiene "delicadas manitas capitalinas" 😎.
Que nunca se acaben las galletas ni el vino en el mundo o me pondría muy triste 😢
