1st @WineFridays after returning from Paris for the holidays. I was looking to capture the amazing flavors I had just experienced over in the wine capital of the world. The "stinky" cheese was a hit, and I think this got the year off to a great start.

Mystery Creek 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, from Marlborough in New Zealand.

Straw colour, scent of tropical fruit, particularly banana. Tastes citrusy with a lemon tang, fairly acidic, with a strong note of herbs. It was very nice with barramundi.
