37418 "East Lancashire Railway" runs down past Pontlottyn with a Saturday afternoon service bound for Cardiff. Nobody could have predicated that this very locomotive woild return to this duty 18 years later.
Southern Vectis Volvo Olympian R373 LGH still in London colours and seen at Shanklin station for the Isle of Wight Beer Buses weekend 2016.
It rained during the afternoon, but it stopped one hour before sunset. It remained cloudy until half an hour before sundown when this shot was taken. Within minutes of this picture, the rain came down again.
This was truly a gift of nature.
The front steps in a house owned by a stonemason.
There's a lot of work being done in the garden, so I'm not sure if he still owns the house or not. Will keep an eye open, weather permitting.

This cute LAZYBONES frilly top and skirt set was just what I needed from the Saturday sale.
I've been wanting to get a casual beachy/vacation vibes shot and Scarlett Isle has been perfect; it's absolutely beautiful.

Saturday mornings walking around the neighborhood when there's not a lot of time always offers such tiny vignettes to photograph. An hour out and I'm happy with this find.
I found this spiral staircase awhile ago and had forgotten about it. - doh!

A Saturday afternoon visitor takes in the views over the Jamison Valley. There's a bit of cliff above him, but there's twice that again below.
... Mugs With Words.
Simplement Breizh ! Simply La Bretagne.
As we don't have any mugs with writing on them I went down to the gift shop in town to see what they had.
The woman who runs it has got used to me popping in for an odd photo or two, so when I asked, she giggled and said go ahead.
The only rule being is that I don't take the objects off the shelves, so I have to take them in situ, which isn't always that easy. But, I won't bend the rules, as I might get banned from using the shop and it does come in handy.

On Saturday November 24, 1973, a U36C leads a southbound coal train into Erwin, Tennessee. The 3600 was the first of a group of 7 units that the CRR bought from GE just 2 years earlier. In about 4 years it and it's 6 sisters would be traded to SCL for an equal number of SD45's making the CRR a 100% EMD again.
One of my favorite photos I've ever made. I frequently photographed the bees writhing amongst the stamens fallen in clumps on the petals of my Southern Magnolia's flowers. This little feller actually fell off the petal while clutching an armful of stamens as he fell, but of course quickly righted himself and flew back onto the petal. Just an awesome capture for me.
