Monument at Sarnath

A Place where Buddha used to meditate. Amazing isn't it? The same place where that great man changed about half the world. The gold-looking leaf looks like some add on, it wasn't there when I visited last month. There might have been a specific holiday that passed.

The Dharmeka Stupa is on the left, and the building with the pointy dome is a Buddhist temple, where we met some Theravada monks from Sri Lanka. Inside, the walls are lined with murals telling the life of the Budda.
