Similar staff reductions have already happened in California, where many of the State Parks and Historical Sites have either closed completely or are open only a few hours a week. Nothing better for the economy than driving away tourists (sarcasm off)!

Aí você me liga mais tarde e diz sentir falta minha. E que agora devo estar andando de lado a lado, agoniada, em busca de sinal. E revirando fotografias. Eu odeio fotografias e sua intuição barata. Você acha que sabe tudo sobre meus gestos e segredos e isso me deixa claustrofóbica justamente por ser verdade. Parece assim que você me fez. Então eu me faço. Fria e indiferente, numa crueldade que só uma mulher machucada é capaz. Mas você me olha e me enxerga e isso me apavora. É por isso que tento esconder no telefone minha vontade de passar 50 dias inteiros por semana contigo, nervoso, fitando o nada, tanto faz.
E mesmo com o coração cheio de nós, não dou o braço a torcer. Minha infelicidade vem de tempos, depois da sua aparição, ela só ficou mais sorridente. Abro a porta e grudo os olhos num filme dublado ou na janela aberta, pra fazer um "quê" de que o mundo lá fora tem argumentos melhores que os seus. Porque tudo me importa mais que sua voz convincente. E não me toca enquanto fala, ou meus poros e pelos me passam pra trás e assim meu jogo não vai pra frente. Vai falando, digo daqui se tá ou quente ou tá frio.
Não me resta dúvida, comigo você tem uma dívida. Não importa quantas vezes me fez rir e gemer no escuro do edredom, olha na minha cara de "vivo-feliz-com-ou-sem-você" e me diz se já não é hora de desafogar minhas pendências femininas, te contar de cada ofego, cada medo, cada lamúrio meu, tudo mentira, só pra ver se você tá mesmo atento. Sua impaciência te deixa mais burro que a porta que se fecha. Você diz que sou feito uma pedra no caminho do nosso acordo, mas só se for um daqueles montinhos de açúcar que empedram com o tempo e logo derretem no calor da boca.
É claro que aceito beijos e desculpas, minha desconversa é um mecanismo pra separar os babacas dos frouxos dos escrotos. E eu até estranho você ser um moço tão bacana, que só anda nervoso, achando que vai dar tudo errado em algum plano que não sei qual é. Pode ficar, eu deixo, mas só se você pegar no tranco e falar. Não sou sua mãe, mas pode chorar um pouco se quiser. É até bem bonitinho. Me deixa provar que também sei ouvir, pra depois a gente decidir onde comer e tudo seguir dando certo.

Yes, just like Lee Friedlander, I was busy photographing televisions
back in the '60s. But I wasn't was focusing on motel rooms.
I was dead certain that the N.Y. Jets were well on their way to a
super bowl championship, and knew who would lead them all the
way to the promised land. Too bad I wasn't a gambler...
Far left is Dazz, the Sniper/Scout. Very "enthusiastic" about his job. He is mouthy and his sarcasm is known to get on his teammates nerves quite often. But can be stealthy when he wants to. Being this kind of person, he is always able to make positive remarks about most dangerous situations.
Next to him is Jag, the main character and the team code-breaker. Jag is new to the team, and is just getting himself settled in. He is nervous about this first mission, and has good reason. The last code-breaker was reported MIA, and it was found out he was taken prisoner by the Enemy Hesian Army, and after not complying with the interrogations, was left for dead on the volcanic planet of Queylon. Not a good way to go.
On the far right is Buddy, he's heavy weapons/demolitions. Buddy is a quiet soldier, not nearly as talkative as Dazz. Definitely the wisest of the group, when Buddy speaks, he is almost always listened to.
And lastly stepping out of the Drop-off Crate is Maloc, the team leader. He is a very strict sergeant, and is always opt to discussing the R.A.C. Handbook when making decisions. He has been a commando for 8 years and has the most experience on the team.
