Flux Theatre Ensemble's Star Drop, available for rent in the NYC area! It's huge!
Contact Kelly O'Donnell at kelly@fluxtheatre.org to arrange a rental.
We got a neat sandbox thanks to the nice people on the Jackson area Freecycle mailing list. This is Tessa having fun in said box. To the left is my tomato patch, to the right and out of the frame is a flowerbed that I'm trying to tame, and behind her is the neighbor's yard.
Replica of world 40, created by Charles aged 7 years
Toys from Margaret Lowenfeld's 'World Technique', 1920-70
Charles came into Lowenfeld's care as he was prone to outbursts of unmanageable violence and seemed unable to learn at school. In her book The World Technique (written 1959, published 1977), Lowenfeld documents the 43 worlds that Charles made over the course of 113 sessions and the marked progression he made emotionally, verbally and socially over this time. Lowenfeld observed how this process allowed Charles 'to become able to put his experiences and feelings into words'.

Play Well
(October 2019 — March 2020)
‘Play Well’ explores how play transforms both childhood and society. Using displays of historic toys and games, artworks and design, this exhibition investigates how play develops social bonds, emotional resilience and physical wellbeing. The exhibition includes: images of children at play in the street, in playgrounds and beyond; makeshift and commercially produced toys; digital games and a larp (live-action role play) space by artist Adam James.
