This is how the party ended

To be honest, I saw Natasha in the pool and I was jelous. The water was cold and the dress isn't the best choice to swim (but makeup was still on point)

The details of the outfit will be on the next post.

I guess the title says it all.... hahaha

I'm not sure if this one could be part of the "Lost in Translation" series. As the "real sandbox" has a meaning not so different from this concept. I'm in doubt. What do you think my Flickr friends? =D

Thanks for all the lovely comments and faves that I've been receiving. They really bright my day!!! Cheers!!!

I believe this to be Hura crepitans (Sandbox Tree)

Nashville is growing really fast these days, and there were two construction sites by my hotel. This one visible from my window was just getting started. I longed to go down and drive one of the pieces of equipment for just a little while. Do you ever miss the sandbox?

Cheers,

Wade

As my daughters swim season drew to a close, I was bored and concerned about redundancy of look and feel of the photographs I was taking and processing for the team. Half way through a meet I started playing with long exposures and was instantly captivated by the surreal figures in abstract surroundings. For me, they captured a purer energy of the athletes and their moments than I was able to capture in a photojournalist style.

So here are my ramblings while I seek discovery of something new.

The park contains the tallest sand dunes in North America, rising about 750 feet (230 m) from the floor of the San Luis Valley on the western base of the Sangre de Cristo Range, covering about 19,000 acres (77 km²). They are perhaps 12,000 years old.

The dunes were formed from sand deposits of the Rio Grande and its tributaries, flowing through the San Luis Valley. Over the ages, westerly winds picked up sand particles from the river flood plain. As the wind lost power before crossing the Sangre de Cristo Range, the sand was deposited on the east edge of the valley. This process continues, and the dunes are slowly growing. The wind changes the shape of the dunes daily.

There are several streams flowing on the perimeter of the dunes. The streams erode the edge of the dune field, and sand is carried downstream. The water disappears into the ground, depositing sand on the surface. Winds pick up the deposits of sand, and blow them up onto the dune field once again.

Digging a few inches into the dunes even at their peaks reveals wet sand. If the streams were to dry up, the dunes would disappear; in fact part of the motivation of turning the Monument into a National Park was the extra protection of the water, which Colorado's cities and agriculture covet. -Wikipedia

Taken from our trip out West last May.

Libby has been playing in her sandbox all week. I've barely heard a peep out of her!

Did another "wing it" on the cargo pocket and the tab to keep them rolled up. Squared off the back pocket and added a few bits of top-stitching. In LOVE with how they turned out.

This build cracked me up, because it perfectly reminded me of my own childhood sandbox. The attention to detail and the skill in portraying it is just great.

I love the message on this image. I bought it for the frame to use as a bigger, more photogenic sandbox than the box I am using to store the sand in (has a sealed top). I now need to play with my wood glue and seal a bottom to this frame so sand doesn’t leak out of the bottom.

The theme was post apocalyptic survival and I put her in a sandbox as well with dark makeup as well since she should look concealed so on to her for the the story

Felicity: the world has just went through the apocalypse and all my people are dying from sickness and famine. The poverty is bad most people can't find jobs and baby's are dying while in there mother. We live under a dome as that is the safest way for everyone to live. My people have asked me to get water and that is what I am doing looking for water. The radiation levels are very high and I could die at any moment. I came across this desert though and hoping it has an oasis since most deserts do, I'm walking and I found nothing and I think I am lost her. This must have happened with everyone that looked for water they get lost here and maybe found water but never went back. This desert must make you delusional and see this. I don't want this to happen to me I will save my people and what I have to offer. I'm not a leader just a person who cares. I hope I survive though I need to. I can't die even though I've been days with no water.

There is the story I hope you like as i worked hard on this photo. So thanks for the chance to be in this
