Hurricane Bill grazed Lockeport just a week and a half before this photo was made. The dunes along famous Crescent Beach (on the old Canadian $50 bill) were breached in several places and many tons of rocks were dumped up on the shore. Local people were still at little ill at ease, even when this big storm had passed.
The best thing about these dunes is that they're some distance from the nearest car parks, thus it's a trek to get to them. Result, not many bother. Result!
