03.15.21 - Sweet Pea was bathed in soft window light - thus a photo was a must - but she became bashful and turned her head.

This afternoon I walked down to Westminster Abbey for the 3pm Christmas Evensong service. The line to get in was winding around the corner and back again, but I did get in and found a seat in the Poet's corner between Longfellow's bust and Shakespeare.
The sung service by the St. Margaret's and Westminster Abbey's choir was amazing. To be seated in the transcept, looking up at 800 years of stone, and listening to the truly talented choir sing was well worth any number of things.
I lit two candles afterwards; 1 for Cami & Alan in Freetown, and the 2nd for the US. Then to my embarrassment, I burst into tears as I prayed for my country to choose liberty rather than cult of personality. To choose e pluribus unum rather than to fracture.

Lately I have not been super happy with the Samsung Note 9 camera, but today I was happy with it. It does not delight me or surprise me with a delightful photo the way my Nokia camera phones did.
