This was taken with my new camera, the Sony Nex 6 and the kit zoom lens; 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS
I wanted a lighter weight 2nd camera, as carrying a full-frame with a huge pro-lens can really take its toll on my already damaged spine!
I don't think it will ever replace my full-frame for landscape work etc, however it is a dream to walk around with and once I get a decent lens for it (and judging by the above image), I think I may get some good results.
If anyone has advice regarding a good lens for it please let me know.
I am considering the Carl Zeiss 24mm 1.8 or the Sony 10-18mm f/4 but leaning towards the CZ.

A revisit to this abandoned house somewhere in Germany. Better light and less waiting around for sunrise helped the morning, mostly shot this time with the 50mm and covered a few other bits.

A second sample board by our Father, Kevin. They certainly do not represent Kevin's best work, but are interesting nonetheless.

These are sample cupcakes for PIP studio They have approached me about doing some cupcakes for their stand at the NEC Sping fair....They wanted a mix of designs to be bright and colourful, which will compliment their beautiful ceramics www.pipstudio.com/nl/pip-porselein/pip-overig
As the show starts in 10 days time, I had to keep the designs to what i thought would be 'do-able' in such short notice, plus they want between 500-700!!!!!!
The sign will be a 'pip studio' logo, i love all the little signs RATUkek does www.flickr.com/photos/ratukek/3752041716/ they are always so wonderful.
I would of loved to of given better details to the rose etc, but i could not reproduce it in the time scale for so many cupcakes, therefore had to keep them simple....
They loved the cupcakes and we have added more designs! plus of course chocolate with chocolate swirls....
The two lovely 'PIP' ladies have now gone back to the boss, armed with my sample cupcakes, I just have to wait for the outcome...

Purple coconut sponge cake with coconut custard filling & swiss buttercream icing decorated with meringue mushrooms!
The Totoro were toys that we had. I sat them on top of polymer clay mushrooms that I made so that they could hold hands. I also added the bow tie & veil.
