A busy day today, no inclination tonight to get the camera out so just a phone shot of Sammy in the garden this afternoon.

Aaah fiquei com vontade de fazer uma foto assim (Rosie)... mas esqueci de tirar a foto base com o fundo limpo, daí tive que ficar montando a parede e o chão :S apesar dos errinhos eu acabei gostando do resultado (e espero que as próximas fiquem melhores, pq né!)

Sammy is so funny, I put the hat on him & every time he would move his head the little puff on the end would keep flopping in his face.. After he batted at it a few times he just stopped & gave me this look, enough to say " I give Up Stupid Puff ball"... LOL...
Sammy decided the best place for him to lay was on the dining room table, to best keep an eye on me while I cleaned the kitchen..lol
Studio shoot with a fashion theme. Trying out the technique of overexposing the backdrop to make it appear pure white.
This is a rather unique photo, it is my 300/2.8 lens on my Nikon 1 V2 camera which has a crop factor or 2.7, If this is gobbleygook to you it means this shot with an equivalent lens length of 810mm. It was taken from my bedroom window into the back yard. No cropping just resizing it for FLIKR.

The young ladies are doing very well. They play a lot together and seem to be best friends forever, even though they also seem to have different characters. Sammy is becoming a slender young lady, whereas her sister Saartje is still smaller and chubbier. Whenever she can, Sammy is close to us and she frequently sleeps on our lap or in our arms. This picture on a cat bed merely confirms the exception.
Not to many people can say that they have a pink eyed, blonde fur squirrel in their backyard! I first spotted aka Sammy on New Year's Day of this year and he's in my backyard several times a day now!
One spoilt hound dog is this little guy . Runs the household I believe . Its cold so everybody is rugged up including Sammy .

We took a nice walk in the park with many photos even if it was cold , windy and after rains. He is resting right now.
Came across this rather regal and proud looking dog who was sat a short distance from his owner. We discovered he's a poodle and goes by the name of Sammy ...
My mom's dog Sammy and her Happy Hedgehog.
Sammy is about 15 yrs old, this may be one of my last visits with her.

Today I unexpectedly lost my beautiful dog Sammy. I came home to find her coughing up blood and it coming out of her nose on Thanksgiving. I rushed her to the emergency vet and she had cardiac arrest and I had to put her down there was no treatment option. Apparently she had undiagnosed lung and liver cancer that was missed despite regular checkups. They were only found today because the ER vet did an ultrasound. A tumor ruptured in her lungs causing the blood to come out of her nose and for her to not be able to breathe and cough. My heart is broken. Gone but never forgotten 2018-2006. RIP sweet girl I'll always miss you and birding won't be the same without you. This border collie x blue heeler loved birding with me she never chased a bird and helped me find nighthawks and other birds she would sit down and patiently watch them and never chase them. She was a real gem. She was my heart. I am completely heartbroken. I got her from the SPCA 12 years ago as a scared little puppy. I'll miss her forever.
