The whole Samar team of FDC had their team building in a beach that's about 30 minutes away from Catbalogan. Had a great time with my group during the day long event! I also had my fill of lechon then. One lechon for lunch and another lechon for dinner! Fatty delights. Hahaha!

I also had the chance to talk to one of the VPs in our distributor. According to him, anyone who can sell in Samar can sell anywhere in the Philippines. He also mentioned that all the CMTs who were previously assigned in the region have already gone quite far in the company. I'm hoping my future in the company turns out the same! :D

the primary forests of Samar have all been decimated by both kaingin and commercial logging. Enrile's company is poised to take away what remains of this forest. In the last 50 years, Samar Island has lost 95% of it's forest cover. If Enrile has his way, he will ensure 100% deforestation before our lifetimes are over. Food for thought.
