SAILS' CATHEDRAL…
Taken on the maiden voyage of The Nausikaa.
We were well out at sea, I looked up and was enchanted by what I saw, it gave me the same feeling when standing in a Cathedral and looking up and a soothing serene and uplifting sensation seems to envelop you…
Taken with Nikon F4 on Fuji film.
May you have the wind in your sails on this lovely day and thanks for your visit, Magda, (*_*)

Happy New Year!
I gave you my heart
And I tried to make you happy
And you gave me nothing in return
You know it is not so hard to say
Would you please just go away
I've thrown away the blues
Im tired of being used
I want everyone to know
I'm looking for a good time
Sail on honey
Good times never felt so good
Sail on
Part of Maldives set
Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hand
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me, what will be will be
I wanna hold you now, now, now

4 months after my Dad passed away I took a trip to USA. I spent some hours in Key West, took some photos of the sunset there, what a Beautiful place!

My uncle Heleno, my mother's brother who lived in Belo Horizonte, passed away yesterday. I think of my cousins who just lost their father, my aunt, my mom, who rushed to the airport so nervous... it breaks my heart. Death is very hard on those who stay. It also puts things in perspective, Life is short.
I dedicate this photo to my late Dad, my Mother, my Brother and my family in Belo Horizonte.

My father loved sailing. We sailed together many times. When we were kids there were times he took us all sailing at once, many kids (my brother and I along with our cousins) Dad and Mom taking care of us all, great fun. When I was older we lived apart for many years, we used to go sailing together when I went home in Niterói, we talked, laughed... Memories. I miss him so much. I wonder if he sails on the other side.

I freakishly hate her wig. It's just so much hassle to keep it nice and dandy /gnarf
She's getting a different one soon-ish though /three cheers
Other than that is that I prolly have to try 12mm eyes in her next (it's a hit or miss size-wise srsly)
Another contender in the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.
Rated Length: 31.64 • Sec/Mi: 207.66
Owner: Sultana Education Foundation
Previous Races: 2001-2014
Sultana is a full-scale reproduction of the 1768 schooner Sultana, built in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1767, then sold to the British in 1768. The Royal Navy refitted the original Sultana, the smallest schooner ever in the Royal Navy, and sent her back to the American colonies as a revenue cutter to enforce the “tea taxes.” She returned to England in 1772, was sold out of the Royal Navy and ended her career as a merchant ship in the waters off the British Isles.
The new Sultana was built using the actual 1768 Royal Navy survey of the original ship, making her one of the most accurate 18th-century replica ships in existence. Not only did the Royal Navy preserve those survey drawings, but also the ship’s logs, crew lists and correspondence, historical items that have proven invaluable for the ship’s educational programs. Launched in 2001, she is an educational platform and the flagship of the Sultana Education Foundation. More than 5,000 students sail on Sultana each year, participating in hands-on educational programs in history and environmental science designed to promote stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay’s historic, cultural and environmental legacy.
Unfortunately she did not finish the race. I don't why as yet- she's just listed "DNF" in the results. She does seem to have less sail area than some of the others so perhaps that was a factor.
We have seen her docked in Chestertown at her home port before. She's a lovely ship.
