Citing the alarming rise in construction related deaths (in the last two years, 30 construction workers have been killed while on the job), hundreds of hardhat construction workers, along with elected officials and community leaders, gathered near New York City Hall on January 18, 2017, to demand the City Council to pass the Construction Safety Act, a series of bills that will provide for true professional training to improve the safety of all construction workers and the general public. Dozens of hardhat construction workers engaged on peaceful civil disobedience leading to multiple arrests.

This is what happens when, for one, you're late to work and are rushing in with your bike. Feeling exhausted because there is like 90% humidity and you accidentally forgot to pick your feet. Thank goodness I work at a podiatrist's office now.

*nother update: didn't stub my toe, peeled some of the skin back. It was a bloody mess. Pun intended.
At 0800 hours, Sergeants (fire engineers), firefighters, lieutenants and captains all from South Fulton - GA Fire Rescue received instruction on apparatus inspection practices. We all are our brothers’ keeper so a thoroughly checked apparatus is a safe apparatus!
