Love 146 is a charity that works toward the abolition of child sex trafficking and exploitation through prevention and aftercare. Love146 trains aftercare workers, multiplies safehomes, aids socioeconomic development programs in high risk communities and provides a voice for these victims of modern-day slavery.

2 CHILDREN ARE SOLD INTO SEXUAL EXPLOITATION EVERY MINUTE

----

Child sex trafficking is by far the most twisted and disgusting thing that exists in our world today. It still shocks me that it even DOES exist. There are more slaves on the planet today than there has even been. Even after we thought it was over when slavery was abolished in the US. The thought of someone being forced into a life of violence and sexual labor and exploitation makes me sick to my stomach, especially when it is an innocent child. I still can't even understand how someone can BUY a human, and not feel any sort of pain or discomfort at all.

----

Go to the site. Watch the Videos. Be heartbroken and sick to your stomach.

Recently, SAFEHOME's Education & Prevention Advocate was invited to speak to Girl Scout Troop #1368. This outstanding group of 5th graders from Christa McAuliffe School asked their neighbors to help them with a drive to collect items SAFEHOME needed. The troop collected 69 boxes of kid friendly cereal and over 100 used cell phones.

Reeva Davis and Sarah Hansen created a beautiful bench for SAFEHOME's play yard this summer. The bench was created so the two could receive the Girl Scout Silver Award. It was more than we expected and staff and residents love it! The girls spent more than 50 hours planning, constructing and painting the bench. They had a plant sale to raise funds for materials and created it from scratch - no kit used here! We truly appreciate the joy and talent that was used in creating this bench!
