photography symmetry appears when parts of your composition mirror other parts. It is created when two halves of your scene look the same and balance each other out.
The log was not level but that wasn't going to faze either of us!

" Come now child, the day is long
Hide not yourself from me
Angels sing the final song
Silence will turn to sleep
Take heed my son
The darkness will come
Black holes will bend the proudest ones
And change up your symmetry .."

After trying five times to photograph this location, I got finally my wished photo. The light on the sky and the mountain was perfect. The trys before, it was a cloudless morning with flat light or the sun was coverd by a layer of clouds.⠀

Night and day or day and night? Symmetry?
"Dusk, is just an illusion, because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are; there cannot be one without the other, yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel, I remember wondering to be always together, yet forever apart?"

And change up your symmetry
Just as the night swallows the sun
I know you'll come for me
Take heed my son
The darkness will come
Take heed my son
The darkness will come
Rest now child, the day is done
The dark comes for everything
Inside the heart of everyone
There lives infinity
Captured in: Bay Lake, FL.
I had an opportunity to capture some animal shots while visiting a wildlife park during a recent trip to Florida. One of the images from that visit that I've always liked was a simple shot of a zebra grazing in a field. I remember thinking how symmetrical the stripes were, and thought I could eventually work that into a composition about symmetry and patterns found in nature.
I really wasn't fond of my original image by itself, I did have a very sharp capture of the animal. I felt the background was too busy, although I knew Photoshop could always help me remedy that situation. ;)
This was a project to allow me to continue practice my selection skills in PS (which always seems to be a challenge to me), as I needed to draw the subject away from the distracting images behind it.
Hope you like the final result.
