The waka house near Te Ana o Maikuku (Hobson’s Beach) shelters a ceremonial war canoe named Ngātokimatawhaorua, the world’s largest of its type. Waka have always played a vital role in Māori culture, essential for travel, and uniquely constructed and carved as symbolic representations of each iwi’s (tribe’s) identity and spirituality.

Ngātokimatawhaorua was built to mark the centenary of the Treaty of Waitangi’s signing in 1940 and was built by members of New Zealand’s northern and Waikato tribes. The waka is launched every year in February as part of Waitangi Day celebrations.

The 495th FS “Valkyries” is the first Europe-based U.S. F-35 squadron. It was re-activated on Oct. 1, 2021, at a specific, symbolic time, 8:49 and 50 second, that is to say exactly 30 years since the former 495th Tactical Fighter Squadron was redesignated as Fighter Squadron, shortly before being inactivated in 1991.

A symbolic title for this image to acknowledge the Rainbow Nation or South Africa, its official name. Archbishop Desmond Tutu coined the term for his country land after the country's first democratic election in 1994.

He wanted to remind the people that 9 African tribes with different languages live beside whites who speak two different languages. Add to this mix, a huge Indian population and. foreign nationals and you have the "new" South Africa. The name signified, for many, the end of apartheid rule where citizens could start living in harmony.

In my travels through out the country, I was struck by the tremendous regard that the citizens of all races and nationalities still have for their three Nobel Peace Prize winners. Tutu, FW de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. This respect seems to bind people together as it should. The men worked together to end what the violence and hatred tat was destroying their nation.

As the human person loses conscious touch with the sacred, the capacity to appreciate and respond to the way the sacred is expressed through symbol is inevitably lost. Religiously and theologically, the loss of the symbolic leads to the pathology of literalism. When the religious story is read literally, its true power and meaning are lost. As a consequence, access to the depths from which the story arises is also lost.

The Original photo of this fractal artwort you can find im my photostream with the date of 01/31/2016. The title was „Memories“ and it was a mosaic of several colorful stones, symbolically it stood for my memories of my life. It was not the best phase of my life, I just survived cancer but lost my orientation about all. So it was a bitter sweet gift to go on with life 2.0. Today I would say to survive cancer was surely a gift, but somehow not really a nice present that you normaly want to get like on birthday. But butter at the fish, everything is good. I'm the same again, or perhaps a better version of me and I’m feeling better than ever. No melancholy and no mating, all is good. It was just a sentimental moment of a fractal romantic...;)

If you would like to jump over my or your own mosaic, jump for a visit to your good old friend Gerd, who puzzles here...

Romanesque capitals of the main portal of the Church of San Vicente in Zamora, dating from between the 12th and 13th centuries, are an outstanding example of the architectural sculpture of the period. With plant motifs and zoomorphic figures, these capitals reflect the rich Romanesque iconography, performing decorative and symbolic functions. Carved in limestone, they are part of the portal conceived as the Gate of Heaven, a space of transition and protection that concentrates sculptural programs with apotropaic and narrative value. The church is part of the context of the Zamoran Romanesque, characterized by the extensive use of stone and decorative sculpture on the portals and capitals, marking the city's constructive peak during the Christian repopulation in the reign of Afonso VII, and featuring figurative scenes with animals and human figures that often convey moral or religious messages.

A cherry-blossom front is going north by the shifted seasonal warmth.

Estuary lakeside in foot of Mt. Fuji located in 800 meters of altitude by information

But I said that it was in full bloom, so it was visited.

The wind is gentle and moreover the sky is the cloudless clear blue sky.

Mt. Fuji where remaining snow is brilliant is lofty majestically.

It's beautiful at a peak, but anyway a cherry tree in lakeside is flooded with a terrible flower viewing visitor.

The about 80 % seems to be the tourist who visits and has come to love a cherry tree in Japanese spring from a foreign country.

Because I imagined the picture which has no silhouettes.

I decide to wait for the evening when a crowd is settled and take a picture. looked for a nice position and walked.

And the moment a positive tries to tilt and fall in the right mountain ridge when, it was also a moment luckily, but even if I aimed at the gap where a silhouette went off, and didn't even take an image street, it was possible to put the scene of the dusk in gentle spring of a numerical cut back somehow.

Hungary has always been 'at the heart' of Europe, both geographically (centre of Central) and with its Habsburg history. With recent politics, however, they seem to be sailing in somewhat opposite directions?..

Mount Tamalpais is a peak in Marin County, California, United States, often considered symbolic of Marin County. It is awesome atop this 2,500-foot high mountain in Marin with its 360-degree view from San Francisco Bay to the Pacific. But anywhere on "Tam" you can find nature at its most glorious. Miles and miles of trails ribbon the mountain, crossing redwood valleys, creeks, waterfalls, and wide-open grasslands. It has been treasured turf for hikers, cyclists, and equestrians since the 1880s.

I might possibly use this for my photo project.

Designed by William Kent in 1734, this monument was meant to provide a visual and symbolic contrast to the Temple of British Worthies across the River Styx below. Inside are four niches for full-length statues of Homer, Socrates, Lycurgus, and Epaminondas, chosen (respectively) as the greatest poet, philosopher, law-giver, and general of ancient Greece. The Temple of Ancient Virtue served as a focal point for this part of the gardens known as the Elysian Fields. It lies in a secluded valley to the south-east of Stowe House.

Stowe Gardens, just outside Buckingham, are one of the most magnificent English Country Gardens, and date from the first part of the 18th century. They were originally designed for Lord Cobham to complement his magnificent Stowe House. Since 1923 this has been the home of Stowe School but the 750 acres of gardens, which include some forty temples, belong to the National Trust.

Symbolic Peace is a laser cut, cold rolled steel sculpture inspired by the strength of diversity in our community.

It is representative of individuals and communities living together in harmony despite their superficial differences, and the fact that only together can we create something greater and more beautiful than the individual parts.

This symbolic memorial stands overlooking the coast in Whitehaven Cumbria England,in honor of the "Pitmen" Coal Miners of the area.No collieries are now open but their sacrifices and those terrible disasters at the Haig Colliery will always be remembered. In the immediate area including Haig over 400 men were killed. 1909-1947. To the right is the Lighthouse and the left the old winding wheel.

Records show that from 1840 to 1972 over 200k people lost their lives in the Uk mining industry.

Symbolic Wisteria Meaning

Flora records indicate wisteria has been known to live up to 100 years and even older (there is a 1200 year old wisteria tree in Japan). It's long-life bestows the symbolic meaning of immortality and longevity to the wisteria. European families mark the ages of generations passing with the growth of this vine, and so it makes sense the vine embodies an essence of immortality.

The wisteria meaning deals with many poignant themes. It's no wonder this plant has gained such illustrious symbolism. Why? Because it is a magnificent plant with impressive growth, high longevity, great beauty and intoxicating fragrance. ( from Callaway Gardens website)

Bird remains on top of a transparent polycarbonate patio roof - shot from below.

While composing the shot, I was strongly inspired by the mythological story of the fall of Icarus.

Today a good friend said a final good bye to a loved one. The symbolism is what got me the most... not the sunset, but the bridge that connects. xoxoxo For Sue and her loss.

Small Ask to Flickr Community!

1. I have couple of photos, from June 2019.

They are important for my, because align with a important facts, clues and in in the other way connected with me, my life and some my works.

It was simply: grass-circles (like a more known term "crop-circles"). The medium is fresh grass right belove my balcon and date is not casual, too.

I will add that photos for a minutes and link it here.

2. BUT: Interpretation.

If - Someone is saying something, which may be interpreted as ; symbol, sign, shape - etc. - telling something or .. looking wise and beauty ( like in many crop-circles, not that case here..)

3. (First interpretation, doubt) My friend hint me 2 yrs ago some similarity to the Saturn symbol. But, I am not sure, and I try to re-interpreted it. And..for me...Saturn symbolic, in fact, will gladly be exchanged for something else.

Some of phs are a bit converted to reveal he shapes somehow easier.

I see some pareidolia "shapes" like bunny/rounded face at one angle and something other on other.

But I am mostly interested in re-revealing the shape which is visible from the upper view (from my window in block - belowe on one ph neighboors stay on their, lower balcone).

I think IMPORTANT is that information, which is visible froma that point - and which ALL THE FIELD reveald.

There are many smaller and other shapes - viewable (or not..), but they are not essential (and present some 'cute' or 'strange' poses, faces or animals types.. typical for these Ones, which are suspiced deliver of that One (send the message) and their crazy sense of humor).

But it could be the contrary case and not very good rather.

Lilium candidum, the Madonna Lily or White Lily, is a plant in the true lily family. It is native to the Balkans and Middle East, and naturalized in other parts of Europe, including France, Italy, and Ukraine, and in North Africa, the Canary Islands, Mexico, and other regions.

It has been cultivated since antiquity, for at least 3,000 years, and has great symbolic value since then for many cultures.

IN CULTURE: The Bible describes King Solomon's Temple as adorned with designs of Madonna lilies on the columns, and on the brazen Sea.

The white lily symbolizes chastity in the iconography of the Catholic Church and some of the Orthodox churches.

For example, Medieval depictions of the Annunciation show Gabriel the Archangel handing a white lily to the Virgin Mary.

TOXICITY IN PETS: Cats are extremely sensitive to the toxicity of the plant and ingestion is often fatal. Suspected cases require urgent veterinary attention. (Source: Wikipedia)

(Fuente: Wikipedia)
