Old shot from that roll of Coles Reliance 400 where everything came out green. Have tried to subdue the colours a bit here.
Better get this sucker before it goes to seed. Too bad, my camera does not have a weed killer mode. I can just set it to that mode, click, zap! Maybe the next generation SX2 will. Have a happy weekend everyone!
This flower of the weed was shot with my Canon PowerShot SX1 IS with the Raynox DCR-250 lens attached.
For my other shots taken with the Raynox DCR-250 lens, click here.
So I bought one of those overpriced Eximus Wide & Slim crappycams. It's pretty much a Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (I've seen it described as a clone of the viv, but since Vivitar don't manufacture stuff themselves I reckon the people distributing these just bought a bunch from the same supplier that Vivitar did, rather than re-engineering a piece of plasticky crap).
In terms of build and image quality, it's about as good as, or slightly worse than, plenty of other crappycams that I've paid 2 or 3 bucks for. But it does have that 22mm lens. And you can't get the Vivitar UWS cheaply these days anyway.
I didn't add the green cast. Since I've gotten similar colours in the same spot with the Holga 135BC and different film, I'm thinking it's something to do with the light in this location hitting a plastic lens. Either that or crappy profiles on the scanner.
Another one using Verm's Sigma 12-24. Think I may need to get one for myself, but the current model looks to be a castrated version with no aperture ring. Anybody know anywhere that sells the old model?
Still have two rolls left from the batch of CR400 that gave me the green pics. Wondering whether to shoot them in a proper camera or a crappycam, or both.
