I've never seen a rig for speedlights like this thing. I would expect it to generate some seriously harsh light. They should have walked down the beach further -- there was almost no one around and they could have had very few interruptions. Of course, it would require them to walk a bit...

Yesterday, I went for a walk on the beach. The next thing I know these 2 crazy guys stripped down ( one into his boxer shorts and the other into his swim trunks) They left there cans of beer in the sand and ran down to the freezing cold water of lake Huron and jumped in! The came out shivering and i chatted with them for a bit and they let make take this photo of them.

This location was full of swimmers in the middle of the day (along the road that leads down towards the end of Pemaquid Point. Came back later in the day near sunset and the place was empty ... and the water a mirror.
No matter the setting, angle, or lighting, Jessica never likes any picture I take of her. But here is yet another attempt. This was taken at a hotel pool in Ft. Collins, CO. I really liked the reflections off the turquoise water and the warm skin tones in produced. Plus she's wearing a great smile. But I'm betting she doesn't like it.
