Apple Camera Raw uses an ICC profile not fully compatible with my meager system. Nothing I cannot convert, but it is new, and computer updates are looming.
It breathes. It dreams. And, at night, beneath a low-hanging fog, it shambles through the shadows with its red eyes and funereal soul. The swamp has a spirit, and it walks on two legs. A monster that was once a man…
I met this elemental creature, who shares a connection to all plant life on Earth, at New York Comic Con, where you never know who you might run into.
My contribution to Comic Bricks! I should point out that the cover you're looking at is actually the back cover of Roots of the Swamp Thing number 3, which in 1986 reprinted the classic Len Wein/Berni Wrightson Swamp Thing stories from the seventies. The renewed interest was thanks to Alan Moore, who was busy writing Saga of the Swamp Thing and blowing everyone's mind.
Here in Camp Edelwood Sil finds himself doing shift as Swamp Thing!

Viola's been on the lookout for a solid film crew for her projects (talent she can get at the drop of a hat—people will line up for their big chance to get rejected), and she asked Umberto to be her art director. He may not be solid, per se, but she likes his eye and his color sense. (And his ideas aren't bad, either.) Umberto immediately accepted; not because he has any particular interest in film, but because as a poltergeist, he gets bored easily and is always looking for new, interesting things to do. Besides which, he *does* have an interest in Viola....
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens (464 acres) is a historic house with gardens located on the Ashley River at 3550 Ashley River Road, Charleston County, South Carolina. It is one of the oldest plantations in the South, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Magnolia Plantation is located near Charleston and directly across the Ashley River from North Charleston.
The plantation dates to 1676, when Thomas and Ann Drayton built a house and small formal garden on the site. (The plantation remains under the control of the Drayton family after 15 generations.) The historic Drayton Hall was built in 1738 by John Drayton, father of judge John Drayton, Jr., on an adjoining property. Magnolia was originally a rice plantation, with extensive earthworks of dams and dikes built in fields along the river for irrigating land for rice cultivation.

One of my favorite DC characters. This figure is at least ten years old and while the sculpt is amazing the articulation leaves a lot to be desired.
She-Hulk: How am I supposed to know??
Cyclops: If you don't, you don't. But it's a good question. How is the Hulk so well known, and apparently popular, in Paprihaven that this auto company... Empire... can sell a van based on his logo?
Punisher: Let's get the van. There's a lot of room to mount weapons.
Marvel Girl: Let's just get the van first. I think, between the eight of us, we are 'weapon' enough.
The Thing: How we gonna pay for the van?
Cyclops: Iggy said he can take my credit card.
The Thing: Okay... how'sthat work?
Cyclops: I don't know. But if it does, the School for Gifted Youngsters is going to get a surprise on their next bill.*

The Brownsville Preserve, located at 11332 Brownsville Road in Nassawadox, Virginia, serves as the headquarters for The Nature Conservancy’s Volgenau Virginia Coast Reserve. This 1,250-acre preserve offers visitors the opportunity to explore a variety of habitats, including wooded uplands, tidal marshes, and retired agricultural fields.
A highlight of the preserve is the William B. Cummings Birding and Wildlife Trail, a 3.5-mile round-trip hike that features:
•Wooded uplands
•Meadows
•Ponds
•Salt marshes
•An observation platform overlooking the marsh
The trail is relatively flat, making it accessible for most hikers. Visitors can enjoy expansive marsh views and a variety of wildlife along the way.
The preserve is open daily from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset, except during deer hunting season (typically from October through early January), when access may be restricted. It’s advisable to check current access conditions before planning your visit.
For more information, including trail maps and self-guided tour options, visit The Nature Conservancy’s official page for Brownsville Preserve.
This is a reproduction of a rice barge - Miss Julianna - which was the main form of transport for the products of the plantation, carrying thousands of tons when the roads were still poor to Charleston.

Sorry to be posting this pretty late in the month I was going to do it earlier but I've been pretty prioritized with school. Anyways let's get to the figs...
