The 77 group of routes was for decades, one of London's most important services, providing a service from the North Central area to the South Western suburbs. The 77 itself was introduced more than a hundred years ago on 20th December 1912, with King's Cross as its Northern terminal. Over the years many supplementary services were added all with their own number or suffix. 177, 77A, 77B and 77C. The 77 was one of the few, and last route number in London to have a C suffix.
DMS 2575 was new in 1978 and started out as a RLST Round London Sightseeing Tour sightseeing bus. It was scrapped at Carlton in 1991.
This was the second incarnation of the 77B. Introduced in April 1981 as a localised, one-person operated section of the former 77A. It was replaced by the 156 in 1983.

Ram Street in Wandsworth, London has a long history of ale brewing going back to 1581. The very street itself is synonymous with Young’s Ram Brewery, purchased by Charles Allen Young and Anthony Fothergill in 1831. The Young family ran the brewery and continued to expand the business until 2006 when the brewery was merged with Well’s Ales and production moved to a new and more accessible site. In October 2006 both companies merged and became known as the Wells & Young’s Brewing Company.
In 1905 Young’s Brewery adopted the image of a Dorset Horned Ram as their new trademark that continues in use to this day. The ram image seen on these badges was also widely used other promotional items and advertising.

The Creepy VPB...The foundation stone was laid by Queen Victoria in1857 ...It was first used for the Education and Training of three hundred Orphan Daughters of Soldiers, Seamen and Marines who perished in the Russian War...Then During the Second World War the building became the London Reception Centre, a polite name for an alien clearing station run by MI6,under the direction of Colonel Pinto...After the war the building was used as a Teachers Training College and then in 1952 purchased by the London County Council for £67,500 for initially Honeywell Secondary Mixed School and then Spencer Park Comprehensive School for Boys....and now??.... 27 flats, 20 studios, 15 workshops and 1 bar & restaurant together with 2 large office units in the Chapel....
A lovely little second-hand place with plenty of stuff packed into a small space adjoining the station.

This is a classic petrol station building design imported into the UK from the States in this era by Esso and also Regent who by then were owned by Texaco. I'm not sure precisely where this was but there is a Silverthorne Road which crosses Wandsworth Road. Not far from this junction is a Texaco outlet in the present day but I don't think it's the same place. The housing beyond looks to nice to have been demolished. However there is a candidate almost opposite there where there some new housing and a driveway across the pavement looks suspiciously like the style used at petrol stations. Riverside Young's pub. Decent place, but gets really crowded and noisy. However, on the further plus sides, it has a large garden area near the riverside, and does great food.
