lets pray we don't get desensitised to the atrocities that are as a result of our social structure, but that we are always diligent, careful and compassionate in our thoughts, actions and deeds - every time!

I surely thought chances of shooting a combo like this in my area left along with the last of the SOO's regular service wagons in 1979-80.But with the WC you just never could be sure what might happen. GBSOA is eastbound near Dick with 39 cars on May 12, 1999 with 3024 and 1762 providing the hp. A GP40-F9B lash was quite a catch by 1999.
This is the well known Mae Suai viewpoint in Chiang Rai with parking big enough for a dozen or more buses and much against my usual stubborn refusal to capture 'viewpoints' I pulled up anyway, got my tripod out and made a 9 vertical shot pano.
But then I did have a reasonable excuse and that was my poor old car had overheated due to someone forgetting to put water in the radiator. If I could have stopped further down the ridge way I surely would have, steam was venting in all directions but the handbrake isn't exactly the car's best feature, and besides there is barely room to park a bicycle on the roads leading up here!
I suppose there are worse places to break down and I can't deny that I didn't enjoy the moment especially with it being unplanned.

Zalig dat je hier meestal geen extra kindertekeningen moet van af halen :-)
Ook een tip voor de personen die op dit stuk lijn op de Fretjes zouden wachten tijdens de komende weken: deze is er makkelijk mee combineerbaar en de laatste tijd zit er steevast een 18 op kop. Vertrek in Braine le Comte omstreeks 9u35 - 9u40.

If you have plans to make another picture of SNCF Fret which is coming once again to Quenast with its diesel dinosaurs (since Friday the 26th, I was one day to early but aware of it) and you have the intention to make those shots around Hennuyères, than you will surely see also this train, the empty stock ER 7445 from Braine le Comte to Forest Midi.
Nice that since a couple of weeks, this trains with a class 18 on top and tail. And most of all, the carriages of this train are clean, so no Photoshop needed :-)

Surely one of the most astonishing of British larvae. This is only the 2nd one I've ever seen, the first being a much younger one. It has a supposed resemblance to a lobster, but does anyone else see a two-tongued snake's head at the larva's rear end?
Reared (not by me) from eggs laid by a female caught in a moth trap in South Shropshire.
Once again I am reminded why I don't do SPs more often:
1) they are hard
2) I frown too much
3) I don't wash my hair often enough
Still, it's honest and complete with red nose from my cold.
There surely can be no disputing that Donna Nook is one of the most magical places on earth.
To be able to see these gorgeous creatures at clsequarters is a true privilege.

Slowly but surely life is starting to creep back to normal. Today I went for coffee with a friend. Although we have talked to each other on the phone we figured it has been about a year since we actually went out and had a good visit. It was so nice to sit there sipping on a coffee while catching up on all the news. If there is anything to be grateful for about covid it is the fact that it has taught me not to take anyone or anything for granted because in a blink of an eye everything can change.
Surely with the internet, there are not as many secret places as there once were. Despite an unwritten code of silence regarding the location of this spot, I found this little cove at Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor north of Brookings, Oregon. The few beachcombers had gone as the day was getting late and I was left all alone as I took in the scene at Secret Beach.

Surely the Gornergrat train is the most famous excursion in Zermatt, from where to contemplate the slender silhouette of the Matterhorn. With stops in unforgettable views towards the top of the Gornergrat. The Paradise, 15 minutes from Zermatt.

Interesting tool in Telefonica Museum, Madrid.
According to Wikipedia, "A telephone, or phone, is a telecommunications device that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly.".
Similar to a mobile or cell, i guess. But i have found some differences:
-No CPU.
-No battery.
-No keypad.
-No touchscreen.
-No SIM card.
-Two cables were required. (!)
-No internet connection.
-Too big for a pocket.
The strange disc was called "rotary dial".

The Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons.
