Fairy lights surely must be easier on the stomach than tea, but perhaps without the caffeine.

Approximately 5 cm/ 1.97 inches side to side.

In January 2022 I asked for help, and a Flickr support hero removed both of my accounts from the Explore algorithm. I feel more relaxed and sincere.

Surely one cannot gaze into the heavens without feeling a sense of awe and wonder at the magesty of the Creator's creations!

This old, abandoned farmhouse was one of my favorite photography haunts (whenever I was in that area) until it was torn down and removed. The scene was actually shot during the day and I created this composite by adding the Milkyway and making it appear as though it were night.

Having seen a few flocks of ducks and hearing the returning geese as well as the unmistakable noise of the sandhill cranes echoing across my still frozen lake, I decided there must be open water somewhere and determined to look for it, finding it in the half-thawed beaver pond not far away. Unfortunately, it was on the opposite shore which I could not access, but here, patiently waiting for the ice-out on the bigger lakes was a pleasing avian collection including Canadian geese, hooded megansers, mallards, and, yes, even a pair of loons calmly cruising the water. Unfortunately, though I tried, from my position I could not capture them very well on camera. I was a bit surprised to find the loons as they typically need a long stretch of water to take flight but they could literally walk across the far tree line when the larger lake beyond thaws.

We have been stuck in an extended period of time with temps in the mid-30s, really slowing down the ice-out, though when it happens it will go quickly.

""" Surely you've all heard the sensational news, that Santa Claus is on his way and here he is spotted once more.

This Santa prefers to travel over the water at night. His silver reindeer look small, but they can produce such a super speed,

that the human eye cannot perceive them, as they pass by. Fortunately, a collage of Santa Claus was able to take a photo."""

Slowly but surely I slide my pictures on Flickr.

No real blogging this time , I wanted to make a picture that's showing one of the last new items of Contraption but when playing with my pose and ending up with this did I just have to use it. I still use Contraption's new hat that has the most amazing creepy mask coming on it but it's not showing the real beauty of it.

Don't forget me 😈

I surely miss these short jaunts/overnight outings to this area; lets hope 2021 gets us all back to a normal life !! In the good old days, we would chase hurricanes that landed in these parts; the ocean was roaring wild with waves that went over the Ram Island Ledge Light that you see out in the far right. The light is 77 feet tall and the waves smashed right over it. It was awesome!

„... You can surely do it. Ja, Curtis Mayfield hat Recht. Einfach machen. Was würde meine Erklärung bringen? Nichts. Der Teil von mir, der in diesem farbigen Durcheinander zu Schaden gekommen ist, ist gleichzeitig der Ursprung für den Phönix in mir... How to destroy myself Part 50.384. Hier und Jetzt, mehr bedeutet mir nichts...The man that flew (we're trapped) all away from the sun (we're trapped...“

Surely this has got to be the cutest looking little Australian Coot hatchling this year. Taken by the Kaiapoi Lakes. I have been checking up on the nest every couple of days or so and today was the first time I have seen them. I counted six of them!

"I read within a poet's book

A word that starred the page:

"Stone walls do not a prison make,

Nor iron bars a cage!"

Yes, that is true; and something more

You'll find, where'er you roam,

That marble floors and gilded walls

Can never make a home.

But every house where Love abides,

And Friendship is a guest,

Is surely home, and home-sweet-home:

For there the heart can rest."

- A Home Song by Henry Van Dyke

It surely seems to be in a very difficult - even hopeless - situation, this tree in the woods round Beisbroek, Flanders. I suppose it must have been the victim of a storm.

We passed it on our walk from Beisbroek, a castle that is now a museum and observatory, to Tudor Castle (see my previous photos). The walk is signposted as 'The Heath Walk'.

The young tree next to it is giving hope for the future.

I should not complain about the shredding of the sunflowers. The birds gifted me with these and now they are enjoying the fruits of their labor :>)

Surely, one might think this lonely place,

a frozen wasteland filled with silent echoes.

The myth quietly concluded from illusion of surface.

One simply need only peer inside the texture of ice.

Within crevices and cracks, a strange inner world of life

slowly breathing, beating, swimming and swirling.

For seeds of dissent spring loudly within the frozen shore.

Continuing the "Nature on Ice" series. Having late night fun with more experimentation inspired by the effects of ice, colored light and perhaps my recent efforts into oil painting.

"Dreams surely are difficult, confusing, and not everything in them is brought to pass for mankind. For fleeting dreams have two gates: one is fashioned of horn and one of ivory. Those which pass through the one of sawn ivory are deceptive, bringing tidings which come to nought, but those which issue from the one of polished horn bring true results when a mortal sees them."

Surely, English summer skies at midday can be just as lovely as any sunrise or sunset?

One sunny morning after the rain, I found a little ant was busily working on an agapanthus’s flower. When I was about to shoot her, she rushed to hide behind the petals, but… :)

Agapanthus ‘Olympic Sky Blue’ : probably a dwarf cultivar of Agapanthus praecox.

Surely this is viable enough for Flickr right?
