An Indian Coast Guard helicopter patrols along the Marina Beach. Maybe
this was due to the Walkathon organized by them at the beach today.
I remember reading once, a chap, who I believe was from the far east said "Whenever westerners don't understand something, they call it Zen."
I don't understand anything about Zen but I imagine it to represent something like this. A simple image, yet appealing and thought provoking, and one that makes you want to look further into it than the initial impression is insufficiently able to satisfy.
This was taken whilst sitting in an hide at Minsmere reserve with nothing much happening birdwise. My mind tends to wander, and I look at the mundane in a different light - and this is a result....
I find it more appealing viewed full size - that seems to emphasise the subtle attraction.....

The sun worshippers all lined up to enjoy the show. As I told you, there are more tourists in the evening than in the morning. But the Salar is big and you can get away from them.

Over London the Sahara sand whipped up by recent storms turned the sun orange and the afternoon really dark.
Sun Voyager is a sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason, located in Reykjavík, Iceland. Sun Voyager is described as a dreamboat, or an ode to the sun. The artist intended it to convey the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom.
