Sunrise in Viera, Florida. We have the most beautiful skies here in Florida at sunrise and sunset.
When I awoke this morning I looked out my window, as it was still dark at 5 am., I could see some stars, so therefore I knew there would be a good chance of a nice sunrise. So I packed up my gear and drove down the road to a lake nearby and captured this amazing sunrise. I love the effect of the polarized filter-the sky already had beautiful blue tones to it, and the polarized filter just enhanced it that much more.
the first glance of sardegna, as we travelled there by ferry in 2005...costa esmeralda, here we come
This sunrise scene was taken at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park in Washington. It represents calmness to me even though the waves on Rialto were relentless. It has a good exposure, decent subject but comes together to give a feel, which appealed to me. I find it sometimes hard to get this feeling out my photographs. It is much like shooting hundreds of images of a shorebird and getting that one pose that takes it to the next level. It takes persistence, a vision and knowledge of your subject to achieve this... Sometimes slowing down is the key.
A beautiful sunrise in Galveston this morning! I have come here to help get my mom set up in her condo for the winter. It's so nice to be down here again by the beautiful blue sea!!
