I went to the flea market yesterday with my evil twin Darren (Fabriquefreak). It's always so much fun, but as we drive across the bridge to New Jersey at 5:45 in the a.m., I am often thinking "What the hell am I doing up this early?"
Morning Sky 2nd day in a row. No need to photoshop or enhance this picture, and I shot this on aperture priority.
I make rules for photography then amend or break them as the situation requires, for such is the nature of rules. One long-held rule is if I choose camera/lens for a shoot I must not complain to myself during the shoot about wishing I had chosen something else. I only have the compact Panasonic with me at Coolum. This morning I wished for the D90 with its 18-200mm lens - but the little Panasonic performed well into a magnificent sunrise. I tried to work within its settings which I thought would be high ISO, wide aperture, narrow DOF. I controlled the amount of light in the shots by focusing on different areas of the sunrise composition, sometimes focusing on the reflections which were closer to me than the horizon.
Thank goodness my daughter woke me up thinking I would like to see the spectacular sunrise on this November morning. I am glad I did not miss this. This is from my parent's backyard.
sun rising among the row of trees hopefully going to warm the day back up to a happy spring wednesday.
I caught this unusual sunrise this morning while walking the dog. I can't help but give Glory To God Almighty for such wonderful beauty in the heavens! May your day be rich in the Blessings of Our Savior Jesus Christ!
Sun up over Mt. Haleakala National Park, Maui, HI. At 10,000 feet above sea level the event was attended by hundreds.
