If you can only learn to look within,
If you can only learn to dive deep within yourself
and identify with the Self,
merge with the Self,
I cannot begin to tell you
the joy you would feel.
There is nowhereyou have to go,
There is no one you really have to meet
There is no thing you have to do,
you simply have to be yourself,
You are the joy of the world.

I wrapped a string around my thumb
To remind me of that singer at the station
By pretending that we liked his guitar the way he sung
Just to put off taking trains to different places
Remember lying naked on the porch
Making fun of Californians in the winter
I'm still waiting to wake, to tie your hair up on its form
So I tie another string around my little finger
Now I'm losing the feeling
All my fingers turning numb, pins and needles in my thumb
'Cause I'm losing the feeling
Now my hands are turning blue
But this knots are tying me
To the feeling of you
I told you when we woke up in my bed
This is just a passing thing, no strings attached
We were riding 'till we parted with our strings in a knot
The harder that we pulled, the tighter that it got
Water droplets on super thin dandelion seed furs. Got to snap a few snaps to get one in focused as I was hand holding the camera on this fixed manual focus lens.

separate consistently and perseveringly the "I am" from this or that and try to feel what it means to be, - just to be, - without being this or that.

a happy series of about fourteen photographs happened yesterday; I will post one of them every day until they are all out. This is my latest arrival which came last year; a Les Paul Traditional in sunburst. So here is No 2. <3

Captured in: Old Bethpage, NY.
Earlier this year I had a chance to attend a musical themed macro photography event in Old Bethpage, NY, which offered attendees the opportunity to work on their macro photography skills. There were a range of subjects available, ranging from small string to wind instruments.
Looking back on the shots from that day, I found this image of a violin that I thought would be fun to process. I decided it might even be interesting to take the processing in a more creative direction... The final result was something a bit unusual (well, at least for me), but hopefully you'll like it!
Please click on the image for a closer look.

30-Day Song Challenge.
Day 26: A song that you can play on an instrument.
(One of my favorite youtube videos, absolutely love these guys)
Oh, I know how to play a few different instruments, surely not a professional, but the sounds of the strings are my favorite. All of them. From the guitar to the violin. Love them all.
